Re: SSR Question

It may cost a few cents more to buy from a NRAA store, but it keeps your fees down, you may save a few dollars in the short term, but it will cost everyone in the long term Considering the bulk discounts the NRAA should be getting, I see no reason any common component should cost more than you coul...

Re: SSR Question

I think the rules are quite clear on this point (which I find somewhat uncharacteristic for our SSRs) ONLY ammunition and projectiles acquired through the NRAA for State Association Distribution to its members shall be used in all competitions BUT.... Is this enforced? How could it possibly be enfor...

Re: Dry firing- does it damage anything?

I simply put a rubber plug in the primer pocket of an empty case to prevent the firing pin from over extending (which I think is what may cause damage to the firing pin). I've used this for several years and haven't had to replace the pin yet and the rubber plug never wears out or gets damaged.

Re: Security changes to ozfclass.com

FireFox (latest version - 53 I think) and Chrome (on my android phone) also has this problem so I don't think it's browser related. The https pages are also not fully encrypted so FF doesn't like that either . But I don't think this is the problem - I have no idea why it sometimes wants a double lo...

Re: Security changes to ozfclass.com

Yes I'm still having to do it too and I changed my links. Using an iPad and safari. Not the end of the world if I have to log in occasionally but regularly is a little painful I'll install Safari later to test it but doubt it'll be the same with a windows version anyway... One thing to double check...

Re: NRAA website

Using one version of Chrome I get a strange message. I have tried to attach a screen shot of this message - not sure if the attachment will work. Using Firefox a few days ago I did connect OK ! Peter Smith. Peter, that message indicates you are trying to connect using https:// instead of http:// on...

If so are you able to try another browser or maybe check for a Safari update.

Re: NRAA website

The NRAA site doesn't run via https so they are not using a certificate. They don't collect any sensitive data and don't need a certificate, the same as this site. It's just that most browsers now give warnings when you're required to enter a login with a non secure site which is why we went to http...

Best bet is to check in the Events section here --> Lyndhurst OPM

Anyone that's planning to go can (should) use the Participants List.

Ummm nah, as much as some posts need it, it's something that could be abused way too much.

You can remove a like you have given any time you wish though.

Re: No more likes ?

Not being a Facebook user, I wasn't particularly enthused about the Like button, particularly the top 5 list showing who had the most liked posts (yay \:D/ ). I know we are in a competitive sport, but I found that slightly cringe-worthy. So we removed the whole of the Like feature to see if anyone ...

Re: No more likes ?

I'll leave this one for Alan.... but I will say, I agree. I do like having the Like button because quite often you want to acknowledge a post without having to actually say anything and clutter up a thread with non relevant chatter. I'm sure if enough members put up their hands to have it enabled, A...

Graham I'll openly say PROTEST re your weather tent ;) Graham, Don't do it on Belmont John John, you'll notice on the thread I posted about my "tent" that once I read through the thread you showed me I have already scrapped the tent idea. 8-) (I'm just ignoring Ben.... he's a little slow....

Re: F-Open to F-STD

I agree with you about the 1kg trigger Denis. It's about the only thing in FS I would really like changed (other than the wet weather cover rules ;-) ) I'm not sure why it's there, probably to have as little difference as possible between TR and FS rifles when it was first introduced. I can't see it...

Re: Current Legal Wet Weather Accessories

I believe that any flexible material that unsupported under 1 metre square with the proviso that it doesn't impede sighting the action for safety purposes & perhaps can be constrained from interfering with other shooters. I think that that covers NRAA & ICFRA rules, but I will ready myself ...
