Re: 6.5 SLR

It’s my aim to burn a few 6.5x284 barrrels in my time just to say I had one!! I personally don’t find my straight 284 with 180’s any more difficult to control or slower to shoot than my 6.5x47 shooting 130’s (note I cannot seem to master free recoil so shoot them both with a hold) Also at the short...

Re: 6.5 SLR

It would appear to me the new hi 6.5mm BC bullets coming onto the market will definitely breathe life into all the 6.5 platforms. But for an F Open campaign you probably still won't achieve ballistic parity with the 180 grain 7mm boolits ? The gunsmiths will be most happy if you try to though !!! W...

Re: 6.5 SLR

I would suggest the Litz G1 number for the 147 has it at 0.654 vs the 180 hybrid ( unpointed ) at 0.680 ? I quote these numbers because it's what my recent research into this very comparison tells me. Yeh, right. If that’s the case then the 7mm would have .4 MOA advantage in wind deflection at 1000...

Re: 6.5 SLR

Hi All, Has anyone had much experience with this one? Looks interesting but have read that the lapua brass can be fiddly to size etc. I have enough projects for now but no harm in thinking about it...Accept future cost 8) Like the idea of a wildcat without fire forming. There are a few of us in her...

So where will the re-categorizing of the Adler put all those who own Winchester 1887 Lever Actions and the various copies by IAC and Chippa stand? I will personally say this to the antis . This movement that we are in has been around Since the 1850's for the defence of our grate nation that I love s...

Re: 260 Rem brass

I have just started playing with the 6.5 Super LR and am using .243 Lapua cases. So far I have one batch with 11 firings on them and the pockets are still tight and anneal every 3 firings. Other options are Lapua Palma brass that have small primer pockets which if you are running hot should stand up...

Make sure your passport is still valid and you have the appropriate visa and don’t forget to pack your 6BR.

Hope you like Coopers?

On ya Norm. It will be a good week of carve up. He who bleeds the least will walk away with the prize.

Norm, It may add an exiting new dimension to our great sport, but for how many, the top shooters don't need any more advantages. Mike. Examples of shooting matches where no sighting shots are allowed are The Elcho Shield (first shot in 1862) this is an eight member team shoot of 15 scoring shots per ...

Sounds like a very worthy cause.

Are you able to post a link for the online bidding on the scope?

Well done to the sponsors for getting on-board. Shooters should remember them.
