Re: QRA Queens

Firstly thanks to the QRA for a well run event. And to the weather God thankyou for WARM/DRY/AWESOME days away from Victoria. Well done to the winners, as the conditions were tricky at times. As for the F-Std / F-Open competition, yes the F-Std guy's did perform well. However , as we know it doesn't...

Re: North Shore District Rifle Association OPM

Great to see the 15 shot matches. And the 3 x 800m is a great idea.

If it fits in with my calendar, I hope to get up there too.

Cheers.

Re: North Shore District Rifle Association OPM

Will this be a fastest finished comes first event :P If so you might want to add a few more ranges to make it worth the trip :?:

Is your range metres or yards?

Re: WTB Berger 180gn Hybrid projectiles

My gun does not like VLDs Hey Peter/All, My experience last weekend is that the VLD's do work, but clearly not as tight a group as the Hybrids. A 60.6 (VLD) vs a 60.7 (Hybrid), however the groups were remarkedly different in size. Back during the Nationals, the Q-Store had 100 boxes of VLD's in sto...

Re: forget tuners - get these

A very good article Bruce. Well worth the read. Probably worth letting it get some legs first before jumping on board. So many chamber and power combinations that need to demonstrate safety and reliability. And can we store a loaded round for years safely? Time will tell. We could all be using them ...

Re: Nraa queens

Numbers would be down on last year as the Australian F Class Teams were practising around that time. Good to see some great shooting. The Hexta system is proving how good the online results/plots are! It seems a couple of notable FTR shooters are spending time helping out others --> 6 points is a lo...

Re: tell me about tuners for fclass

At Trentham in Jan one of the Oz shooters clearly didnt read the manual for his tooner as i heard it mentioned as being the reason for a poor longs performance after one range when hed said he had adjusted his Tooner. Now believe or not i used to be more cynical than i am now about this stuff but i...

Re: tell me about tuners for fclass

I agree with our experts comments around tuners as compared to not using one. If you relate Super V count as an indicator to rifle tune, then you will see my recent Super V counts at SA Queens proof of not needing a tuner. I used 2 x 284W rifles, and managed 50 Super V's compared with Tim-49/Rod-48/...

180.30 - Grantville OPM special prize

Hi All, Trevor and I have put up $100 each for the F Class shooter that can shoot that magical 180.30 score, on either day. We are at 180.29 so with an ounce of luck we may be able to create the new record along with that person being $200 richer! I hope that is anough incentive to get people there....

Re: sara queens

Congrats to all that attended and to Sara for a well run event, complete with blow off sessions!

To the winners, you deserved it as it was a trying 5 days of competition.

Congrats Tim on your first Queens win, enjoy telling Rod all about it on the way home and for the next few weeks at Cessnock club

Re: Help... Hero to zero in one range

Hello UL1700. If you are concerned that the rifle might not be performing, then ask a fellow shooter with demonstrated skill if they would mind shooting it for you.

If they aren't readily available, then I'm happy to oblige.

Mike.

PM me if you like.
