Re: NSW F-Class Association Match

This is Australia not Bisley or Canada or anywhere international. ......South Africa is less than 4 years away. Bisley practise will give the current F Class Open World Champion and others more experience prior to competing in SA in 2021. That is one reason, however a key driver for me is the impor...

Re: NSW F-Class Association Match

• Match will cater for Bisley Pairs and individual shooters as well. Dennis, won't this dilute the numbers in the Bisley competition? I'm keen on the shoot if it is Bisley Pairs. If it was simply a long range shoot over 2 days, then I'd probably just stay in my home state as it is an 8 hour trip ea...

Re: Australia vs New Zealand F-Open Teams Match

With the usual apprehension that I don’t “wanna be the guy that lets my team mates down” So long as you go to the line knowing you have done your best, then you have nothing to be concerned about. We all do our best for the team, and if it achieves the winning score then hooray. I'll be keenly watc...

Re: Australia vs New Zealand F-Open Teams Match

Everyone should be getting very excited now, not long until you go to the home of the big white cloud.

You will find the hospitality fantastic, as they look after their guests very well!

Enjoy the shoot and do well, as you have a strong team!

Re: RECOIL and THE BLOEMING CASE

Recoil comes down to a lot of things but stock design and bag setup can make all the difference if done correctly. Too true, and not to overlook powder choice. When i got my Saum going back around 2011, i tried 2217 2213 and 2209. Recoil was markedly different between the 3 powders! I settled on 22...

Re: Holidays

Thanks for your support this year, it was excellent! All the best to your team and your family during this festive season. I for one thoroughly enjoyed the Competition in Canada, and as one of the line coaches know just how pointy those Open rifles were! A real credit to the quality of the Bartlein ...

Re: Looking for feedback

In regard to duration of time away from home, if it was tacked on to the queens event, people could elect to simply shoot 3 days of Queens then 2 days of Bisley. Alternatively if fatigue was the only concern, you could delay the Bisley event by 1 day to give shooters a break between Queens series an...

Re: Looking for feedback

Due to travel being 1 day each way, I'd probably not attend for a 2 day shoot. However, if you tacked it on to the Queens, then I'd be happy to stay for another 2 days of shooting Bisley style!!! I would say you would have more interstate shooters if you did that. You may use it as a precursor for o...

Re: Castlemaine OPM

The VRA response sounded pretty clear to me.

The club declined to modify the wording relating to " Club Bylaws" on their flyer.

I for one haven't seen reference to " Club Bylaws" on other OPM flyers.

Re: Victorian DRA teams

That's the part I don't like. Don't have a problem with DRA's still conducting their own Championship. It's who goes on to Bendigo I have a problem with. I believe that ALL CLUB champions should have the opportunity to compete at State level. As a Club Champion that lost at District level, I am mor...

Re: Victorian DRA teams

The subject is Champion of Champions. Currently the qualifying criteria to compete at State level is to have firstly won a club Championship then a DRA championship. There have been instances ( and there were last weekend also ) where a person who has won a DRA Championship simply does not want to ...

Re: Victorian DRA teams

A great weekend was had. The weather was great and the shooting loads of fun. Well done to all the teams who competed and to the Champions. Geoff Grenfell has a stake on the TR crown with I think 9 wins to date! And to Jenny Davies who changed to FTR, and won that too, incredible. I was very happy t...

Re: ULTRA-LONG RANGE CHALLENGE

I noticed that a few didn't shoot 1500. Is that because they ran out of elevation?
