Re: BURRIS XTR-II F CLASS SCOPE 8-40 FFP with MOA reticle

Thats true, if you aim at the middle and wind knobs then a lower power scope will work OK. Its just that i dont know many people who win f open that shoot like that. Once they find the x ring alot tend to fine tune it by small adjustments to aiming off, conditions permitting. One has been won with a...

Re: BURRIS XTR-II F CLASS SCOPE 8-40 FFP with MOA reticle

I think you just need enough power to pick a spot in the x ring to aimoff, ie left x , 1/2 way left x, dead ctr etc. I can do that with a 32x, better with a 42x, great with a 50x.& only can use more when mirage permits. I would say a 40x is the min for f open, and a 30x for f std. obviously some...

Re: omark/sportco?

In 1969 the rifle was only known as a sportco 44. I bought one when in yr 9 at school for less than $100 and it was posted to me in a cardboard box, from SA. I imagine the name Omark started a bit later. (308 of course)

Re: WTB 115gn DTAC projectiles

what twist do you have ? berger 115vlds work in my 7 3/4 but not as well as the 108s. may just be a tuning thing ... i have a 7 1/2 twist on order for next year ...

Re: my Savage 110

I have been using a bipod sometimes as well. Just check you are on the right target for each shot as things get a little bouncy under recoil. :)

Re: 6 mm Dasher

Agreed "just touching" is not where you want to be, try some 15thou IN and some 15thou OUT. In particular you dont have to jam hybrids or boat tails, although I note you have VLDs and the common strategy among most successful shooters seems to be that they are best jammed. Still I would tr...
