Re: Given Current Component Availability...

Club fun gun to me says 6br all over it. Stupid accurate and they can sometimes run with the 7’s if short range conditions allow. Be a great practice cal for a saum if you ever get into comps.

Re: 7mm SAUM Rechamber/Barrel Life

Azzo- never met you mate but firstly congrats on the recent queens win! The way I use my Lyman borescope now is I will put a heavy number of rounds on a gun 50-100 rounds. Then will check it out with the camera. From there I will do a solvent clean. I dry the barrel out and have a good look at the d...

Re: 7mm SAUM Rechamber/Barrel Life

If you ask Brett, I’m probably one of the worst for this. I let quite a few barrels sneak up on me fouling wise. 284, 260 improved and a dasher. Once they got that bad, they never came back as good again. I tried different powders to get away from it and they never worked as good as the one I should...

Re: Cleaning Rods. Coated or not

I have had two pro shot hardened steel rods fail on me both were because they weren’t able to spin properly. I have a ccw rod and good friends with Chris and I have no issue with that rod. It has served me very well in regular type rifling 7mm barrels. I usually use the ccw rod with a jag and use a ...

Re: Cleaning Rods. Coated or not

Nothing but Gunslick for me, the handle are superior to anything else on the market. Wouldn't clean a 5R barrel with anything else. Matt P I’ve seen the gunslick ones before and yes they are good. What do you think of the Dewey rods Matt? The handles spin like crazy and the coated rods don’t seem t...

Re: Kongsberg Targets up-grade

Hi Peter here is exactly what your after. We did this at busselton rifle club (based on the Coolilup range in Capel where Dave refers to) which has led the way for Kongsberg improvements. All our data was sent to Kongsberg in Europe and they were quite interested and impressed at the results. There ...

If you conform to the same limits as Belmont like you would for the QRA and National Queens you will be fine.

Re: Trigger clean

Compressed air usually. Buy the cans from officeworks. Handy to have in the shooting kit as well, just in case you ever get dust or sand or powder in an action from a stuck projie during an unload command.

Re: Successful 6mm for long range

Depends what discipline your shooting... ask the Montana 1kBR boys what shoots most consistent out of any cal. My bet is the 6BR ackley. All you need for f class is some form of speed loading ammo block

Re: New to bench rest shooting

Might I suggest a phone call to forum sponsors CRM gunsports. They helped me into a new nightforce competition scope a few years back. Great price and great service for a customer that was on the opposite side of the country. I would highly recommend the NF competition scope, its what a hell of a lo...
