Re: The South AfricanMillenium

Bigtravoz Do not expect from me to reply directly to provocative questions !!. Action Clear has ceased activity due to reasons it is not entirely to me to explain. They have abandonned their rights on the INCH and accessorily on the Delta who did not went on the time much over the pre-production mod...

Re: The South AfricanMillenium

The Millenium action was only made in New Zealand by HHE and now licenced to Orpen Wapens in South Africa .

West Australian firm Action Clear only made the INCH action now licenced in USA.

C.G MILLENIUM

The C.G. Millennium action is being revived – long-range enthusiasts, rejoice! It is with great pleasure that I may announce that an agreement has been reached with ORPEN WAPENS (PTY) Ltd. in South Africa (http://www.orpenwapens.co.za) to manufacture the well-known C.G. MILLENNIUM, previously manufa...

Re: Which action is best - 2/3 or 4 lug?

Weatherby do a 9 lug bolt, maybe more isn't better? Wheatherby is not alone in that game. They can be considered as 3 lugs with each 3 segments. Parting the lugs is said to increase the lugs bearing area (when they can obtain them all to bear evenly) but in turn reduce drastically the lugs shear ar...

Re: Which action is best - 2/3 or 4 lug?

[[/quote] OK straight answer, there is no "best" the best will be the one you are comfortable with. It is a fact that the more lugs you have, the less primary extraction you will have. The more lugs you have the harder the bolt lift will be, which is not a good thing for any of the F...

Re: Which action is best - 2/3 or 4 lug?

Hi All, This may end up a Ford/Holden type argument but I'm wondering which action people prefer and why? I have a stiller viper 2 lug action and a Barnard PC 3 lug. They both work fine but the stiller is more shiney :D I have posted on: http://c-g-designs.blog4ever.com/en-actions-22-or-4-lugs?trck...

Re: Range incident today

Nasty business and I hope there are no permanent injuries. I must say it sometimes surprises me that this sort of thing doesn't happen more often. It needs to drummed in to everyone who reloads how dangerous it can be if you get things wrong - DOUBLE CHECK EVERYTHING. On a first shot, one can suspe...

Re: GC Inch Actions

I would like some feedback on GC Inch actions. I have been looking at the action and the fact that they have a rear locking bolt and thought that may be the way to go but was talking about them yesterday (at our club) and a southern visitor shooting with us suggested that they have a tendency to st...
