Re: Victorian Queens Series - 2018

Or is it just the brand ET's that some don't like, we are starting to use the SMT brand at local club level, so far so good. The upgrade to 8 sensors may prove an equal to the Hexta brand.

Re: Victorian Queens Series - 2018

Well the CRO confirmed there weren't any ET issues during Canberra Lead-up or Queens 2017, it's on this forum. I'll stand corrected about the number of attendees, but, Canberra 2016 was an Australian Development squad trial for Canada so a lot more F-Open and FTR shooters attended. Further to this, ...

Re: Victorian Queens Series - 2018

If it's good enough for Canberra, which I may add, attracted their biggest entry last year, why can't the VRA use the electronic targets??????????????? if properly maintained. Come on.

Re: FCWC 2021

Just to clarify things, the NRAA Australian Team toured and competed in SA late last year without any security issues. In fact the message i got was the SA shooters welcomed Aust and nothing was too much trouble. Practice shoots on private ranges etc, I have spoken to one of the Aust team members, y...

Re: 2209 with 30 cal 155.5 Bergers

It works..... same load of 2209 for the 200gn gives 2905fps with room to spare. But, as my post says,i only have 2209 and some 8208, NO 2208.. so, I'll try 8208 next which will fit in nicely. I know of some TR shooters still using 2206 which was the original go to powder. 8208 being nearly similar w...

Re: 2209 with 30 cal 155.5 Bergers

2209 works well in the 9.3x64 if you compress it 0.4" to get enough in ! this does have disadvantages, in that sometimes the powder needs recompression to maintain coal. too much compression can also bulge the case so it will no longer fit the chamber. too much trouble there and the same would...

2209 with 30 cal 155.5 Bergers

Has anyone used 2209 with 155.5's that could share an approx load to start? I have plenty of 2209 and some 8208, zero 2208.
thanks in advance.

Re: sara queens

Bruce, I believe it's all about numbers in each class. If SARA look at the last 2 Queens shoots, by far the biggest class is FS. (last year the Teams boosted numbers) I have marched in a number of times with the TR chaired in. Doesn't bother me. If all class winners were chaired in there wouldn't be...

Re: annealing made perfect

Thanks Norm, that explains a lot. I'm a little like yourself, but without any budget. The Annie is appealing just on price if it does the same job as the AMP machine. Not sure what the exchange rate is like after importing an Annie, may not be worth it but worth a look.
cheers

Re: annealing made perfect

Norm, I checked out the Annie annealer, it's a little different from the AMP machine but I guess it does the same job for half the price of the AMP. I'm not sure what your plastic sheet and glass tubes do looking at your pic. It might be a good idea to explain a little more with the fine details, Ge...
