Re: sara queens

Bruce, I believe it's all about numbers in each class. If SARA look at the last 2 Queens shoots, by far the biggest class is FS. (last year the Teams boosted numbers) I have marched in a number of times with the TR chaired in. Doesn't bother me. If all class winners were chaired in there wouldn't be...

Re: annealing made perfect

Thanks Norm, that explains a lot. I'm a little like yourself, but without any budget. The Annie is appealing just on price if it does the same job as the AMP machine. Not sure what the exchange rate is like after importing an Annie, may not be worth it but worth a look.
cheers

Re: annealing made perfect

Norm, I checked out the Annie annealer, it's a little different from the AMP machine but I guess it does the same job for half the price of the AMP. I'm not sure what your plastic sheet and glass tubes do looking at your pic. It might be a good idea to explain a little more with the fine details, Ge...

Re: WTB 115gn DTAC projectiles

Tim, No rebate just standard boatail Imported from David Tubb. So not the newer ones. The coated ones are with HBN similar to DTacs coated. You can buy them coated or uncoated. I coated some with HBN to use and they shot very well. I have a box X 500 (unopened uncoated) plus some now coated & un...

Re: Canberra Queens

Just to follow up from Andrew, Tm, nearly right. Leadup was good first day with fair winds except for 600M. No rain. Day 2, double 800m with 15 shots, some light drizzle with easy conditions hense the high X counts. The winner I believe used a 280AI all the way. Day 1 of the Queens, good easy weathe...

Re: difference between magneto speed and Labradar speeds

David, Interesting to note that I experienced quite a big difference, 40fps. as magneto speed is at muzzle and Labradar is measured at best 1 metre. I wouldn't have thought it was going to be a big difference. Probably a little with different day /temp etc, same batch of powder. The only thing that ...
