Re: Bag/Case for 50” Savage 12 F/TR?

Looks like the Buffalo Rivers CarryPro 54" Deluxe will do the job on the range... just can't find anyone who is selling any :)

Seems a few options on a flight travel case too thanks for the pointers!

Bag/Case for 50” Savage 12 F/TR?

Hi Guys First off thanks for all the help with other threads as I get into the sport! I believe I’ve settled on a Savage 12 F/TR for my initial F Class rifle but the big problem I seem to be having while I wait for the rifle to come in is finding a bag or case big enough to fit it! When I advised th...

Re: Bullet Selection and Considerations (308)

Stick with a 155 grn projectile. There is a reason why we use them. Bit like comparing tennis balls to cricket balls Appreciate that but I was hoping for a bit of technical depth on why I'd prefer to understand the detail behind the recommendation so I can learn more about the ballistics science be...

Bullet Selection and Considerations (308)

Hi All As promised another newbie question... It's mentioned in the other thread on scopes that the velocity of the bullet and how flat a trajectory the ballistics provide can affect the selection of the scope with regards to how much elevation compensation can be required when moving from zeroed at...

Re: Scope Advise - 900yd MOA

Nightforce BR 12x42x56 I have these in my Dasher 6mm Nd 7x57 AI and have no problems with 1000yds . Have a look at magnum sports prices Like Barry says zero at 300 setup scope so the elevation is as low as possible eg my 6mm is at 5moa at 300 Ditto on what Bill says above, I also use a Nightforce B...

Re: Scope Advise - 900yd MOA

Anyone have thoughts on the Bushnell Veracity 5-25x50 SCR MOA ?

Has FFP and 64 MOA elevation adjustment, 30 MOA windage adjustment

Cost looks pretty good ;)

but 30 MOA windage seems a concern?

Re: Scope Advise - 900yd MOA

55 MOA is more than enough to get you to 900 ( good for 1000 actually ) using a 20 MOA taper on the rail. 900 is normally around 21MOA above 300 ( give or take 1 MOA ) 1000 is about 26. All based on about 2970 or so MV and 155 Bergers or 2156 Sierras. Barry Thanks Barry I'm attaching it to a Howa B...

Re: Scope Advise - 900yd MOA

:D Darren It’s been said many times before,Buy once cry once. Having just put a night force completion 15-55 FCR1 scope on my Tikka 223 I can very highly recommend it. Wish I had done it years ago. Sorry it’s not sub 2k but worth it. $3k is a bit much now but the FCR-1 reticle does meet what I'm lo...

Re: Scope Advise - 900yd MOA

Sightron SIII 6-24x50 FFP MOA 2 Ret has a floating dot But also the noise you refer too - worth looking at though. Actually this one isnt too bad, the MOA marking are just on th crosshairs for elevation and windage which is what Im looking for When I said 'noise' I meant the horizontal windage line...

Scope Advise - 900yd MOA

Hi All I've been looking to find a decent but sub $2k scope for F Class shooting that I can take from 300 to 900 yards so I'm looking at something I'm guessing with at least a 65 MOA elevation adjustment (using a 20 MOA picatinny rail) and at least 24x magnification Feature wise I'm also looking for...
