Re: .308 F-Open/F/TR Projectiles

I'm going to cop heat from the naysayers here, but the most accurate gun I've owned was a 10kg 308 shooting 230gr Berger hybrids. I chronod it one day and it was a lazy 2370fps with a not quite full case of 2209. It shouldn't haven't worked so well, but it would drill the centre out of the target at...

O.K. Graham I do not wish to throw cold water on what seems to you to be a good idea & I mean you no disrespect, but when you make technical posts you must be sure there will be NO ramifications from what you post. From a technical point of view this is NOT a good idea!! It does not pose any im...

Well done! Did you take off rifle or handicap? What was your score? I just headed out to say G'day, but I missed everyone.

Re: How to hit the bullseye at 900 yd?

Buckshot (Andy), You should be shooting 300 yards this weekend (200 Sunday morning, 300 Sunday arvo). I'm not sure if I'll be there myself, so I'll offer you the following advice. You probably won't learn much about reading conditions from 200 yards due to the lack of flags and mirage being that it'...

Re: Fireforming 30-06 brass into 280 ai as promised.

I love the cream of wheat method. I have a 200l plastic drum filled with pillow stuffing that I poured my shed slab on top of with a 35mm pvc riser poking through the slab to fit a rifle barrel. I can silently and safely fireform from the comfort of my reloading bench. I used to use the same drum be...

Re: Necking up cases and donuts

Like you've suggested, I use the k&m cutter pilot. No donuts. Used the same setup to create 260 brass from. 243 before good 260 brass became available

Re: 300 Winmag and WSM Yes or No

Well I have a 300wsm and with 210 or 215s its not much different to a saum. very little, in a target rifle Ill second this. My 300wsm slinging 215s was not noticeably harder on the shoulder than my 284 Ackley was. Almost much of a muchness. Can say what the cumulative effect over 2 days shooting mi...

IBI Stainless Barrels from Cleavers

Hi Guys, Does anyone know anything about the quality of these barrels cleavers are selling? Canadian made, apparently. The price is right and 26" finish length and profile is good for one of my upcoming projects https://cleaverfirearms.com/Products.aspx?Search=IBI%20STAINLESS%20STEEL%20MATCH%20...
