Re: The Future

4 Have been subjected to being chastised in front of others by some cranky old prick who themselves was treated this way 40 years ago. 5 Simply cannot afford to go to "prize meetings" ( I despise this term ) 6 All classes of target shooting have to stop catering for the top end of the mov...

I was thinking along the same lines, or maybe even a 22ppc, since I have a ppc sized action collecting dust.

Best Tablets for ETs

Hello again, gentlemen I have been contacted by my club president who is putting together a grant application for ETs for our range. Can anyone give some tips on what are good tablets to use? Specifically ones that are friendly with old(er) eyes? There is already a bit of negative sentiment about th...

Re: Given Current Component Availability...

Gentlemen - thanks for all the advice. I've got multiple options here I can have a think about! To those of you suggesting a 308 or 30 of some description - what about a 30-06 improved? The long neck would allow a fairly wide range of projectiles to be used and still be out of the donut area. Using ...

Given Current Component Availability...

G'day Folks, Given the current supply problems with brass and projectiles (Berger being non existent in most cals, Sierra pricing themselves out of the market, SAUM brass being thin on the ground, reports of Hornady ELDs being inconsistent and flying apart), what would you chamber a barrel in for cl...

One Scope on Multiple Rifles

Hi Folks, I have several quality rifles, but putting quality glass on all of them will kill my bank balance (and in turn, my marriage :P ). Has anyone had any luck getting repeatable results swapping a scope in quality quick detach mounts across rifles? For example, I took the scope of my 6brx today...

Re: SAUM fired case capacity

72.60gr water trimmed to 2.020". Do not trust data for ADI AR2213 in QL. Unless you have the data for ADI AR2213sc use another powder...! Thanks - that's just what I needed. :D As for 2213SC in quickload, use Hodgdon 4831sc - it's the same powder. I went a step further and renamed it in the da...

SAUM fired case capacity

Hi Guys,

Is anyone able to share what their measured h20 capacity of a fired Norma 7 SAUM case is? Just about to start load development using quickload for a headstart.

Cheerio,

Re: Max peak elevation of trajectory?

Even another 20 moa on the rail so it’s 40 moa would only yield 18.19 mils . Then aiming at top of post on 20 x I would still be nearly a whole mil short !! So on my .338 rifle I’ll say it is almost impossible to get to 1.9 km ! What about using a set of Burris Signature Vee rings? They are inexpen...

Re: Max peak elevation of trajectory?

Litz's book gives that one a G7 of .418 and without taking the atmospheric data into consideration his software says around 25 feet at 500 yards. Happy shooting. Hi Barry , thanks heaps for your help . I’ve been watching Mark and Sam after work ,https://youtu.be/GP6uV9vacaw where they pushed a 7mm ...

Berger Hunting VLD vs Match VLD

Hi Folks, I'm about to start load development for a new SAUM and I only have a limited supply of 180vlds left. I notice the q store has 180 hunting vlds in stock. My understanding is that they are the same bullet, but one has a j3 jacket, the other has a j4. Question - can I develop a load with the ...
