Yes at 500m - I saw that. I judged the 60.9 at 900m as more worthy of mention - its so much harder to get Xs at 900m/1000yds.

Re: 2019 NQRA Queens and NRAA Vets Team Matches

What a great contest in F-Open!! Craig McGowan finished without dropping a shot in the Queens https://www.nraa.com.au/nqra-queens-2019-results/ and only 1 point dropped in the Grand Agg!! Probably a record I would think. His shooting included a 60.9 at 900m, also probably a record. Steve Lazarus bag...

Re: New Sporter/Hunter Class...is your club promoting it?

Its still a competive class. Its been shot t a few PMs here in WA. Exactly Shaun. To those who are questioning the need for rules, there WILL be some who will like the competitive side of it - hence the need for competition rules. Others will just come and try to improve on their own skills. They w...

Re: New Sporter/Hunter Class...is your club promoting it?

Bruce, There is another good reason to have no limit on scopes - that is the "buy once cry once" principle. If a new shooter asked me what scope to buy for this class, and I sensed there was a possibility that they may end up shooting F-Class, then I would advise them to consider a quality...

Re: New Sporter/Hunter Class...is your club promoting it?

...Question so why have rules for something that is non competitive ? As stated in rule 23.2 "The prime purpose for its introduction is to encourage participation, rather than competition...", but that doesn't mean it can't have a competition format. This is a sensible approach in my opin...

Re: New Sporter/Hunter Class...is your club promoting it?

I wasn't even aware that it was announced let alone in the SSRs. Looks very good. Congratulations to George Wittorff and other NRAA directors involved. =D> =D> This will be a great thing for our club, and many others no doubt. 23.1 Rifles - Sporting/Hunting Class Target Shooting (SH) 23.2 Introducti...

WTB - 308 RH Barnard Target Rifle Complete

I have posted this in the TR forum, but maybe some F-Classers know of someone with a TR setup for sale? I'm asking on behalf of a prospective new member at Rosedale. He has no reloading equipment or shooting accessories, so this could be an opportunity for a retiring TR shooter to make a single sale...

WTB - 308 RH Barnard Target Rifle Complete

I am asking on behalf of a prospective new member at Rosedale. He has no reloading equipment or shooting accessories, so this could be an opportunity for a retiring shooter to make a single sale of a number of items both large and small. If you could PM me with details, I'll pass it on with recommen...

Re: VRA Queen series.

This was definitely an event I will never forget, taking out my first Queens prize and my 1st A grade competition... Dave, Yours was probably the best come-from-behind F-Class Queens win I've seen (from 8th place at the start of the final day). It should keep a smile on your face for some time :D ....

Re: VRA Queen series.

Well done all the winners =D> . Sounds like there were mixed fortunes with conditions at 1000, which often means top shooters go out of contention, but not so Rod Davies and James Corbett. I see a "new" name on the Queens winners list, being Dave Phipps in F-Std A. Good to see.

One of the best daily performances in Australian F-Open history. The bar has been raised to a very high level.

Thanks for that Rod - I was wondering if we were going to get some coalface reporting without Tim being there.

Re: VRA Queen series.

Congrats to all the winners today. In particular my Rosedale "compatriot" Albert. That 60 at 1000yds was special =D> =D> . This sets things up for a great F-Open competition in the Queens.

Very well done Julian =D> =D> . Now what we need to know is, are their things you do in either discipline which help in the other? :D
