Re: Submerging barrels in cleaning solutions

Firstly, I am not an expert in ultrasonic cleaning but I have used them in industry whilst building high vacuum assemblies for superconductors. This is just a DIY toy, the original idea being that if it works and as I am normally cleaning two barrels per week then I would be able to save time by rem...

Nice one, I built the wife a 6BR, became a Dasher, cost me a fortune and now she kicks my butt every week we get to shoot other than a little upset at Rosedale the other week #-o

Fair enough, I thought you might be directing to a specific document.

Re: WTB SEB NEO REST

Thanks UL1700, considering a Mini, 3 months wait time and around A$1200 Peter Good option, if I hadn't managed to pick up a 2nd hand MAX then that is what I would have done. There are a few little bits that could do with tweaking on them but they are a good choice. The max is tiresome to carry arou...

Re: WTB SEB NEO REST

Nice Farley on FB at the moment, it's possibly a little pricey, depends on the base but good rests are hard to get hold of (new or 2nd hand)! https://www.facebook.com/groups/1442388839331951/ https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10157093218972652&set=pcb.2259352077635619&type=3&theate...

Re: something you might not have

Some direction might be helpful as it (at least for me) just opens a blank page with various drop down boxes on :)

Re: Tikka T3 actions for F class standard

There are plenty of Tikka Actions out and about performing well but the reality is that they are a lightweight hunting action. To put it in some form of perspective, my Barnard P actions are almost half the weight of my fully built Tikka T3x hunter in 223 and cost twice as much. A target action will...

Re: WTB SEB NEO REST

Just my two cents but I would seriously consider the Mini if you want portability or the MAX if you can handle it. If I were to get a medium weight rest I would probably go a Farley. That said I have shot off all mentioned except the NEO :)

Normally luck of the draw what comes next in the download list on my phone, can be anything from Metallica to Paul Kelly to DMAs and Placebo. Covers Rock, new rock, metal, brit pop folk and a bit of pretty much anything else in between. I rocked up to the range the other week and I just got to the e...

Re: George Wittorff hunter class

This seams to have gone from a discussion about a hunter class allowing for rifles shot by the average farmer or hunter that and are in every safe on every farm in the country to yet again how can we incorporate PRS at our ranges. Whilst I have no way of proving it, I suspect that the people with $1...

Re: Benchmark 8208 / 155.5 / 308 FTR

I am wondering why you're using 115.5s. These are a very capable projectile and used to great effect buy F std. But when you swap that rest for a bipod you will need every advantage you can get, and once you get back to the longs the bullet bc becomes a definate advantage. It was on the advice of D...

Re: Problems with CCI 450s

primers.jpg So if you have a minimum depth pocket and maximum thickness primer you have to crush 9thou to seat flush or the other worst case max pocket and min primer, you only have 1 thou of crush, to maintain 8 thou below the surface. So I guess that the next logical question is how does potentia...
