Re: Victorian Queens Series - 2018

Vic Queens will be Paper as Albert said so everyone can come along to that one. Would be good to see you again Graeme another practice at Bendigo Wellsford Range perhaps conquer it. Mate I would love to , it’s a challenging range , lovely people, especially Albert ! But NZ has left me a little fina...

Re: Victorian Queens Series - 2018

Huge sigh...........Et's again ! I have no issues with Hextas or going to the Nats or Qld Queens! The issue will be , as more clubs and opm's head to et's . The marking skill is going to be not as good , like up to 2 mins to Mark a target, just recently! It got better , but I was wanting some Hextas...

Re: Which D/P action is best?

Hi All, Interested to hear some experience from shooters and gunsmiths. In considering the prospect of a future dual port build, what are the comparisons between a Stolle Panda, Borden BRMXD and BAT 3LL. Which is the better action and why? Do any have wear issues more significant than another when ...

Re: Hello

Hi Richie, Best thing might be to attend one of the clubs in the Sydney area and see what's being used and which class appeals. Read through some of the old threads here as it has been covered a few times. If you move to the Newcastle/Hunter Valley area there's a few of us at the Cessnock club who ...

Re: canting reticle to allow for spin drift

I shot mils and still do in f class . Only switched for teams . Good to know both ! But Moa is better for f class! But don’t let mils stop you from competing. Jbm is extremely accurate with accurate info fed into it . Even though I could manage without it going to a Comp , I just like to confirm my ...

Re: canting reticle to allow for spin drift

Hi Mate , yes u can cant ur scope to compesate , but only do half the job at a 1000 yds at the expense of elevation inaccuracies. It sounds like you have similar ballistics to a 155 gr 308 . Which mine was shot in For 200m for hunting ( these were early days !). Then dial up .5 of a mil for 300 yds ...

Re: FCWC 2021

I’m South African and shot with a few of you last year at Connaught. I can assure you that SA is as safe as anywhere else if you stick to the right places and take the necessary precautions. The range is top class with plenty of flags (new ones, all tight to the pole :)) and good ablution facilitie...

Re: FCWC 2021

I have some security concerns with S.A. that may make me not nominate . Also the question of powder with adi possibly hard to get . I was talking to a Kiwi shooter sharing the same concerns with security . It maybe also our cars get broken into with a front rest or something of value getting pinched...

Re: Australia vs New Zealand F-Open Teams Match

Rob, you are being very humble and it is truly wonderful commentary from the Champion. Yes luck always plays some part but you were the most consistent shooter during all the days, not just one day or one range. This in itself prove that you are the worthy recipient of the Belt. Well done again Mat...

Re: Australia vs New Zealand F-Open Teams Match

Just to give an idea to our Aussie shooters here how nasty and cruel Trentham can be ? A lovely Kiwi ftr shooter was on my target and he was well in contention with the final if he nail it at both 1000 yds. He got touched up on the first 1000 . But on the second thousand and he was down just before ...

Re: Australia vs New Zealand F-Open Teams Match

Congratulations to the winners in fo , ftr and Tr . You certainly earned it ! This is a place where wind changes can blow you off the board ! Well done to the Australian team members in Fo and ftr that made it into the finals and did us all proud ! We all had a good time and I walked away with a lit...

Re: Australia vs New Zealand F-Open Teams Match

Good luck Les and Lewis ! I hope the shoulder messages work !! Part of the Australian Fo team are having a last hurrah tomorrow morning with a 7 and 2 at 3,5,6 ! This team was just so strong together, we just came together like we had been training as a team for years ! All of Guns absolutely ...
