Re: F Class Competition in Australia

Over the ditch here a class called "Hunter Class" has been started. To cut a long story short I'd suggest it's going nowhere. Way too many dumb rules and restrictions to what the shooters can compete with. Having said that I believe the declining shooter numbers is a lot about the differen...

Re: Travelling to and from shoots and fatigue

My lesson from the same thing if you feel it coming on when your at the wheel is ADRESS THE PROBLEM STRAIGHT AWAY. If your on your own pull over and have a sleep. Even a short one will do it. If you're with another potential driver get them behind the wheel. I work with a guy who can go to sleep pre...

Re: F Class Competition in Australia

Steve, aren't you saying you don't agree with the way F Standard ( which I don't shoot ) has evolved but best it is left alone just so some don't get pissed off ? I went to Trentham last weekend and we shot all long range and all on E Target marking. My loose plan for the weekend was NOT to "ch...

Re: 6.5 SLR

It would appear to me the new hi 6.5mm BC bullets coming onto the market will definitely breathe life into all the 6.5 platforms. But for an F Open campaign you probably still won't achieve ballistic parity with the 180 grain 7mm boolits ? The gunsmiths will be most happy if you try to though !!! Wh...

Would seem to be the logical choice to get those pills up to speed.

Does for me BUT you're gonna need to buy more barrels !!!

Re: 6.5 SLR

I would suggest the Litz G1 number for the 147 has it at 0.654 vs the 180 hybrid ( unpointed ) at 0.680 ?

I quote these numbers because it's what my recent research into this very comparison tells me.

Re: Another newbie

I'm right hand dominant and RBLP is my choice. But my stock has no pistol grip so it has to be that way as I think you definitely need to be able to control the rifle torque for the bolt cycling. This aspect of the shooting package is all about how the gun is handled just feeding and ejecting rounds...

BTW lads they do check your velocity Vs Bullet weight at Trentham. A guy comes along while you're shooting with a Labradar.

Re: RSAUM with Energy restrictions

Hi Albert. Now as I believe u refer to shooting at Trentham and u will be shooting in the F Open class against me then maybe you could consider the 6br ? Conditions at Trentham are always very kind with very little wind there. I jest. But seriously you could make contact with the NRANZ and see what ...

Re: difference between magneto speed and Labradar speeds

Very interesting Graham. If this is true then perhaps it might be as well to get a definitive answer to this one ? Otherwise this casts a rather large shadow on any meaningful discussion here re comparison between different systems, let alone the implications for ES numbers ?

BTW it was Mark F.
