Meopro Optika6 Anyone with experience?

G’day everyone I’m seeking thoughts about the Meopro Optika6line of scopes, ideally the 4.5-27-56 model. I currently own a Kahles 1050K, a sightron S-TAC 2.5-17-56 and looking for mid-power optic. I know these are not a Kahles/Swarro, ATACR level of scope but they are also about $1800 Cheaper. Other...

For sale Sightron S3 10-50

I have a sightron S3 10-50-60 with MOA2 reticle available for sale. .250 MOA clicks. Scope has been mounted on Tikka T3x .223 for F-class and some limited PSR. Has been used as a range scope, no rough treatment. Some scuff marks from rings and safe storage. Scope is still in very good condition (cos...

2206H or BM1 in .223 Rem?

G’day all Was curious to know if there was much experience in using Benchmark line of powders and or 2206H. I’m running a .223 with a 24” barrel and shoot the Berger 80.5gnFB. I’m currently using 2208 and that is a fine powder, but I’m keen to hear if anyone has experience with 2206H or the Bench Ma...

Re: 6 br additional calibre

Reflecting and questioning why and how we do things is vital for any organisation that plans to exist into the future. And in the case of Target Shooting in Australia it is as timely as it is vitally needed because Target rifle (the discipline as we now it now) is dying. I think it’s a terrible idea...

Re: Explorers PM

Team, I just wanted to say a very public thanks to you all at Explorers RC for a very well run, administered and enjoyable OPM at Lockhart today. You should be proud of how well it all came together. Re: Project: Smart Powder Trickler

The Autotrickler V3 is controlled by the phone through an application and works very well.
Though the ingenuity of the open source application is great and a way of sharing the know how to do this sort of thing yourself, if so inclined.

Re: 2217 vs 2213SC which is a more consistent powder

Bad_primer these slow burning burning powders like pressure to burn efficiently. There are a couple of options at either end of the spectrum and particularly if the weather is cool. Firstly if you seat the bullet deeper, you can increase the bullet compression of the powder and so increase pressure...

Re: 2217 vs 2213SC which is a more consistent powder

Okay, so... 2217 behind the 180gn VLDs was trialed at 900m at Canberra in some genuinely hard conditions. The I had two loads; 59.5 and 59.7gn of 2217, pils were seated as close as I could them to -.001” off or just in the lands. Vertical spreads, ES cand SD were average for 59.7gn (ES-63fps, SD-19....

Re: 2217 vs 2213SC which is a more consistent powder

Thanks everyone I was kind of blown away by the level of expertise on this thread. Thanks everyone who contributed. I have the 2217 on hand and have loaded up some Copperhead 180gn VLDs for a 900M shoot this weekend. Load is as follows: CCI LR Magnum primers Hornady cases 59.5gn 2217 Seating - 0.000...

Re: 2217 vs 2213SC which is a more consistent powder

GSells, that’s great advice, thank you. I assure you I will start putting it to use and to see what comes up. Specifically the numbers I got where from the shoot on the weekend were: ES- 69 Min- 2801 (1st shot) Max- 2870 Mean- 2838 SD- 19.3 Of the 11 shots measured, there were 3 outliers. 2869, 2870...

Re: 2217 vs 2213SC which is a more consistent powder

Thanks for your replies everyone. In terms of the barrel I’m shooting out of its 30” with a 1:8 twist. I’m currently running the Fed Gold primers as I have a significant amount of them on hand and they seem to be pretty good. The performance of 2213SC is promising, 58.2gn Over a 15shot string on the...
