Re: New Sporter/Hunter Class...is your club promoting it?

I think this is, overall, a positive development. This should be considered version of 1.0 of the rules and it should evolve to meet needs and interests of those who do participate. The success really will be driven by how well it is supported at club level and promoted even. SSRs on the NRAA websit...

Re: New Sporter/Hunter Class...is your club promoting it?

Bruce, you make some very valid points. I think the name does need revision and your observations about attracting hunters into the sport sound valuable, would be keen to get your perspective on this in a bit more detail as it sounds valuable honing retention efforts. The biggest change offered by t...

New Sporter/Hunter Class...is your club promoting it?

G’day all Recently the NRAA has compiled and finalised the rules for Sporter/Hunter/Varmint class. This has been developed on the back of feed back received from us, members and interested parties across different state and territory associations. What do you think of the finished product? Has it hi...

Re: Just starting out

I fully Second what Barossa said. Start with .308 and learn with club gun for as long as you can or get a good tikka or a Howa And get it re-barreled. Shooting F-TR or standard will give you a good place competitively to learn and not get caught up with the arms race that F-open is and .308 is a goo...

Re: Nosler rdf

I have just loaded up 130gn RDFs for 260Rem. 42.5gn 2209, 26” 1:8 with Fed Match Gold LR primers. The case necks were prett trigger though, hoping that doesn’t impact too dramatically. I’ll report results from 300M after this Saturday.
