Re: Alpha munitions brass

And finally - the 'wankers' are those who think they can build up a world beater using inconsistent cases, not the other way around. Peter Smith. Peter you are 100% right mate.. If you want really good brass, and you believe that it's imperative for accuracy like myself, my suggestion is RWS... Thi...

Re: March ELR scope

They will be $7,500 + here in Australia and they are FFP, and will reach out to 7000 yards on larger calibres. They are also pretty heavy. Now there is talk about to shoot 500Fly with a 22 rimfire with this scope! If those figures are correct $7,500 + then, i cant see too many sold in this country....

Re: Stock Rigidity

It's funny how this topic has come up, im in the process of changing my stock on my fstd rifle.. Reason being is im not completely comfortable shooting my current stock on the mound.. This stock however is extremely comfortable from a bench... I wouldn't use something with a thumbhole for BR, but I ...

Re: Stock Rigidity

Changing stocks can change harmonics / loads.. Especially when the two stocks like above have completely different characteristics/materials..
What works with one stock might not necessarily work in others...
You couldn't give me a carbon fibre skin stock.. But that's just me...

Re: PRS IS COMING , WE HAVE TO EVOLVE !

I think the NRAA should be inclusive of PRS shooters and allow them to become members and using our ranges, just like long range BR shooters... At the end of the day we all love long range shooting.. The NRAA is only as strong as its supporting base..(members) I don't believe that PRS shooters want ...

Re: PRS IS COMING , WE HAVE TO EVOLVE !

Just out of curiosity, how many followers does PRS have in Australia?
What sort of numbers roll up to one of their championship rounds, i believe they have a circuit of some sort where they shoot for points?

Barry Davies wrote:Question,
Why would you need to brake a 6mm or 6.5 mm do they recoil to that extent? or is it to do with getting back on target quickly? excuse my ignorance.

They brake them so they can get back on target quickly and spot there shots easier..

Re: PRS IS COMING , WE HAVE TO EVOLVE !

I'm all for being inclusive of new shooters, and I understand the dinosaur logic... But i dont believe PRS shooters want to participate in fclass, is it more that PRS shooters need ranges to shoot on?

If PRS shooters wanted to shoot fclass, removing the break shouldn't be a problem..

Re: Inconsistent firing pin strike with a twist

Scott, Nothing to be concerned about, I don't believe it would be chamber related or brass.. I would be more inclined to think that the bolt has excessive amounts of movement within the race way of the action, lugs most likely are not locking up evenly/square, because of the slop each time the bolt ...

Re: 2209 with 30 cal 155.5 Bergers

Gyro, Dont know what your implying but information in post is true and correct.. Target at the time was an Australian record target at 1000y shot blind..(shots were not marked) Unfortunately the one shot was out. ES 27fps I understand its all about eliminating variables but this is one variable that...

Re: 2209 with 30 cal 155.5 Bergers

No chain tugging here.. ES and SD means bugger all... And that's all ill say in regards to the matter.. Had a reasonable 1000y heavy BR rifle, have a target at home shot in competition at canberra 9 of 10 shots can nearly be covered by the end of a Coke can...(6 of those are all cutting one another)...
