Re: Lee Collet Neck Die

Never found a runout tool worth a damn. Doug Veal in South Australia makes a very good spinner, not sure if his still making them.. Anyway still would like to know what neck run out is achieved by Lee collet dies? Then after your projectile is seated? There has been a few comments about straight am...

Re: Lee Collet Neck Die

I just knew u was gonna see that post Kieth and put those knockers straight haha !!! I'm with u mate. I hope nobody thought that my post was ribbing KHGS, because it wasn't my intention at ALL.. It was purely an observation of the topic "Lee Collet Dies".. These dies are made cheap, their...

Re: Lee Collet Neck Die

I must be missing something here, (or I'm suffering heat stroke it was 41 here today) Lee collet dies must of changed drastically because they were complete rubbish... Doesn't sound like much has changed though, any dies you need to hone,deburr/polish/diamond file says it all, I wouldn't recom...

Re: NECK SIZING

How many times have you fired your brass? A FL bushing die is the way to go. And you removed the ejector pin? If you don't have a headspace gauge your just guessing as to how much bump your giving. The bolt feel method does not always work. I tried it once and way way over bumped the shoulder on th...

Re: NECK SIZING

http://www.accurateshooter.com/technical-articles/case-head-separation-cause-diagnosis/ This is the result of incorrectly set up dies, not the result of sizing alone. Any tool is only as good as the user. Keith H. =D> Very true  twotwothree, Some of these problems start from incorrect fireform...

Re: F Class Competition in Australia

Every sport you compete in has its own unique set of rules. All of these rules are not discretionary and generally create challenges for the competitors... Why is it people feel the need to keep changing rules.. It is complete BS.. Fact is you can never accommodate everyone, especially at higher lev...

Re: RSAUM with Energy restrictions

Has anyone with a SAUM made a serious effort to find a load in the 2800s? I've seen very good accuracy in the high 2700s with a 284, so why wouldn't the SAUM have similar accuracy with lighter loads. When I was breaking in my saum and fireforming cases, there was a lower node with 175gr sierras, ac...

Re: RSAUM with Energy restrictions

 Adhering to energy limits = adhering road speed limits.... you ignore them at your own peril.... There has been some good advise so thank you. @rod, have a new barrel for Trentham so only done 50odd rounds and still working a load. Have other barrels I can chop and chamber if needed. Albert...

Re: RSAUM with Energy restrictions

I reckon these range energy limits are complete BS.. Everyone knows these regulations exist but not once have i seen them enforced or anybody tested.. Albert, As you know I run a saum.. I run a 28" barrel because of these energy limits.. 178gr pills are running 2915fps, (which is under the 3500...
