Re: Reloader 16 & 23?

I have just started with RL16 as it is supposed to be temp stable. It is fluffier than 2209 thus takes up more room in the case, it takes up about 8% more case room and you may require about .2 grains more powder to get the same speed. In the 6.5 SLR with 140 gr Berg LRBT's it gives me a full case, ...

Re: 6ppc loads

Load Berger 64 Grain Columns or 65 grain Berger BT's, ADI BM2 powder with 29.5grs (mid load) or high load of 30.4grs but you will need a drop tube. For Sporter Class 6PPC use 28.5 BM2 as the rifle only weighs 9lbs. Use Fed Match grade primers, your load node will be within .1 of a grain. These are m...

Re: Where to buy an auto trickler

Well it depends on budget, $450, $900 or $2,850 or it depends on, Novice, Experienced or Professional shooter, so where do you stand, I believe my loads are ok, I know my loads are ok or its not my load so it must be me? its bugger is it not? This also relates to Stocks, Triggers, Barrels, Scopes, F...

Re: a funny advertisement

You should post those small 1000 yard .250" size groups up, I assume there 10 shots not 5, I mean anyone can shoot 5 shoot groups at that range?

Re: 183SMK LOAD IN 7RSAUM

Would not shoot 2209 if you gave it to me, shot this 2 weeks ago testing different primers, 183 smk's, 2213 powder, 61.4 gave me 2950fps and 61.8 gave 2970fps, 61.4 gave me ES of 4 and 61.8 gave me ES of 13. Start at 60.0 grains and work up. SAUM.jpg PS, These are 3 shot groups at 100 yards, Belmont...

Re: a funny advertisement

It all boils down to different strokes for different folks! Why poke shit at people because they enjoy shooting different things? we are all shooters at the end of the day! This kind of thing has always split the shooting community and no wonder we are a dying sport!!! Does this help? "1/4&quo...

Re: Ladder test- what went wrong?

Barrel was fitted right, no just kidding. You're probably to close and the barrel looks like it might be a good one !! Any idea of velocity spread ?? Matt P I left my mag speed at home so no velocities yet. Hi Tim, my 7mm/300 WSM Imp runs 2985 fps with 66.2 grains 2217 (CCI Mag Primers) and 2996 wi...

Re: Given Current Component Availability...

Run up a 6.5x47 Lap Imp, shoots up to a 1000 yards, pushes 140 grainers to the 2920 FPS node with around 39.0 to 39.3 grains of 2208 out of a 29" to 30 " 8 twist barrel with long barrel and case life. Shoots one hole groups, I run two of these rifles, a 300M rifle and one for 1000 yards, y...

Re: 7mm SAUM Rechamber/Barrel Life

The secrete is not to let carbon form in the first place (prevention is better than cure). I would rather over clean or keep clean a barrel, now some believe you shorten its life (I do not agree with that, 6PPC proves that wrong). So lets say instead of 800 rounds you get 600 because of cleaning ag...

Re: 7mm SAUM Rechamber/Barrel Life

There are two things you can do with this barrel, used Jb or throw it in the bin. I shoot amongst other things 6PPC, we clean after every 8 shots and use a brass brush. We JB or Ozzo after every 50 rounds, we shoot tiny little holes people dream about and throw our barrels away after 500 to 600 roun...
