It might, give it a try on a spot you dont mind rubbing off. I think the atf sort of neutralizes the acetone a bit.

get some acetone and automatic transmission fluid, mix 50/50 and soak it. give it a couple of turns every couple of hours to clean the gunk out.

8208 might be the way to go.
a bloke at my club worked a load up using 155.5s and 8208 with a es of 3 which is astounding

hbc's require a bit of work to get shooting good but when you find what works they shoot excellent. best way to find is load 5 up at 10 thou jam, 15 thou jump, 40 thou jump, 80 thou jump, 120 thou jump. you will find groups that are vertical and horizontal split the distance in half and and load up ...

Tapered rails are tapered reletive to the bore so any movement, fowards or backwards results i poi shift

very nice Spray on some CRC for cutting lube ......... Cheers Gyro. I have been using Inox as cutting lube. Seems to work okay however today the cutting piece built up some harsh chatter and the alloy gummed up the cutting bit. My fault as I was rushing it a bit. Think I might giver serious consider...

first of all your way under the minimum load for 06h which is 43 gr second of all try the 155gr hbc. i have a mate with a howa varmint in 308 that shoots hbc's incredibly well with a 15 thou jump.
