Re: Given Current Component Availability...

How much are the next shipment of 7mm Bergers going to be anyway?

1.05 might work out worth it to keep shooting.

Re: Given Current Component Availability...

Actually just goes to prove a 6dasher can make any mug look good with a bit of luck thrown in.

Re: Given Current Component Availability...

Very kind conditions.

Mirage running from the right. About 1/2 point.
Shot when it ran, stopped when the mirage stopped.

First half of the shoot hung in the bottom left of the X-ring, altered into the centre at the end.

Re: Given Current Component Availability...

6.5mm is a good compromise, however I find components are thin on the ground. My experience was only with a 6.5x47 which I found a bit finicky. So far I am a Dasher convert!!!! If your only club shooting and the occasional OPM out to 600 do you really need anything bigger?? 59F73F99-E743-4CBD-AF46-C...

Re: Given Current Component Availability...

6mm Dasher. I had a 6.5x47 and shot 130’s with it, I don’t think I am losing any ballistic advantage by going to the Dasher, 140gr 6.5mm bullets might be a different story. But so far I am enjoying the Dasher much more than the 6.5 Lots of options imported or local with 6mm projectiles. Sierra 107’s...

Re: WTB Beginner Target Rifle

Gday. I have an Omark Devcon bedded in a Weeks stock. It’s got a Black mountain barrel that shoots very well (shot a few 60.6’s) with the scope on at 600yards. Central sight with 1/3 minute clicks 1” tunnel with various rings. Also have a Gehman glove, single point sling, coat (for a big guy) and wo...

Re: NSW Queens

I will probably use my Dasher on day one, purely because I am down to only 100match ready pieces of brass for the 284 and am too lazy to give the rest the treatment in time for the Queens :)

Re: Berger Hunting VLD vs Match VLD

I only use hunting 180vld’s in my 284, I quite like them.

I think the only difference in BC between hunting and target VLD’s is the 6mm 105gr with the hunting actually having the higher BC.

6.5mm Hornady projectiles in 6.5x47L

G'day guys. My dad who is a casual weekend shooter and comes out with me on saturdays using my gear has finally picked himself up a rifle! He's picked up a nice Savage with a Kreiger 8T barrel, it's been built as a light fly rifle so will weigh down around 17lbs. Dad is comfortable enough shooting m...
