Re: Nosler rdf

I’m about to start load development using the 140 RDF and 2209. Was going to start at mag length for PRS.

I’ll post the results from 24” barrel; Lap SP brass; and BR4 primers.

Hope to get to the range within a few weeks.

Re: The Future

As a member of SSAA (worth it for access to many ranges; the excellent magazine; some political clout; etc) and QRA/NRAA (not sure what I get for that other than the discount at the qstore) I cannot see why the SSAA would want to amalgamate?! If they look long-term they can probably just wait and pi...

Re: The Future

As I have stated before in other forums: 1. Embrace PRS / hunters on our ranges for casual practice: we have the facilities to enhance their skills and they might try FClass or at least join our clubs. And pay cash to keep us going. In the long term our sport might look very different...just like it...

Re: Given Current Component Availability...

I’m with ShaneG on this one...same rifle for me too! Lapua 6.5 Creedmoor small primer brass should last a while; seems to be good factory loads available; fair choice of pills (except Berger?); and has a reputation as an easy to load cal. Or just use a 223...several blokes at North Arm have them wor...

Re: a funny advertisement

PS don’t forget that PRS is already looking very popular and they are mad for the gongs!

Re: a funny advertisement

Whilst I note the oxymoron (a gong does suggest less precision than a FClass target may provide) I think the point is that there are shooting sports that utilise the satisfying aural reassurance of a hit.

So yep, funny in ‘Dad joke’ sort of way...

Re: Military rifle enthusiasts Queensland

If he is not in a hurry to sell them I might know of someone interested in one of them towards the end of the year. I am on the Sunshine Coast too (I will check with scott/r).

Any details about their condition?

Re: New F Open Rifle

Wow, that carbon fibre stock looks bloody good!

What caliber is the rifle (if it’s not rude to ask)?

Thanks

Re: Reloading Equipment

Try chrisw91 (CCW Engineering) on this site...he makes a press that looks pretty good. I have been very happy with the cleaning rods he produces. Support a fellow shooter and Aussie made. I just use Lee dies: neck sizing & collet die produce good results; projectile seating is a bit fiddle to se...

Re: New Bushnell Tactical Elite Scopes for F Class

I really loved my Bushnell Tactical Elite...until I looked through a Nightforce (and since a Sightron and a March). My main issue was not value for money but the fact that my 6-24 x 50 just ran out of focus adjustment after 300metres. There was hardly any movement between 300 and infinity. I had a l...

Re: 6.5 Creedmore - anyone?

Thanks for the info. I’ll get some 2209 to start with then. Managed to get some Nosler RDF 140s reasonably cheap (bc G1 .658) but need to wait for the rifle to arrive. Went with the Creedmoor as opposed to any other 6.5 as it is a factory rig. Wanted a versatile caliber with less recoil. Will see ho...

Re: 6.5 Creedmore - anyone?

While we are talking about the 6.5CM has anyone got a good starting load for 140gr pills with either 2206H or 2208?
