Re: Hornady A tip Bullets

Over here they are retailing for about $79 a hundred for like the 6.5mm bullets. I did get my hands on some of the 6mm's (25 of them). Haven't loaded them up as of yet. I have shot the 153 out of my 6.5CM (only shot 19 of them so far) but all I can say is you couldn't wipe the grin off of my face. ...

Re: tell me about current 7mm bullets.

I’m sitting on 2000 of the 184s . Still waiting for the snow to melt here in Canada ! I’ve used the Sierra 183 the last few seasons and have no complaints . The sierras seem to have much narrower nodes than the 180 hybrid . Last year or so we have had poor supply on Berger’s so ran the Sierras . Th...

Re: tell me about current 7mm bullets.

since the above post I have also discovered the new nosler bullet. it looks to be pointed in a forming die, a much better thing than a pointing die. it seems about the same length as the Hornady tipped bullet which is recommended for a 1:8.75 twist, so a 1:8.5 would be good for both. also there hav...

Re: 280 AI information Blog

Pss if you do well with a 280 ai please share ??!! It's a calibre I have been happy with Graham - getting close to shooting out my first barrel - getting up to around 1700-1800 rounds down the tube and the accuracy is still there but I'm chasing the lands and have had to increase powder charge to k...

I have a friend who recently went through Berger 115s blowing up, Pacnor 1:7 twist barrel also - his is a 3-groove and I have read reports that they can chew the jackets up.

Re: Copperhead 184gr VLD

i received my sample this morning so I won't chime in with anymore photos. What I have done is weigh the bullets though and I can report there is a 0.4gr variance between the lightest and heaviest bullet, with the lightest coming in at 182.80gr and the heaviest at 183.20gr - there were two bullets a...

Re: Tikka T3 actions for F class standard

I have previously used a Tikka T3 in F-open - custom stock sourced and tidied up by Matt Paroz - I think the blanks are made by Ken Noye in Victoria. Anyway, the limitation, or the main limitation in F-open was that I could not hang a truck axle off it - Matt did not recommend it due to the nature o...

Just buy 6mm Creed brass, it's not hard to source. Projectiles...anywhere from 95's up to 115's depending on your appetite.
