Re: Tikka T3 actions for F class standard

I have previously used a Tikka T3 in F-open - custom stock sourced and tidied up by Matt Paroz - I think the blanks are made by Ken Noye in Victoria. Anyway, the limitation, or the main limitation in F-open was that I could not hang a truck axle off it - Matt did not recommend it due to the nature o...

Re: 6mm Creedmoor

Just buy 6mm Creed brass, it's not hard to source. Projectiles...anywhere from 95's up to 115's depending on your appetite.

Re: Looking for 7mm barrel

Varmint to heavy varmint AlanF I have a 7mm Brux, heavy varmint profile that has 1800 rounds through it - currently 30 inches long and chambered in 284 and sitting in the garage doing nothing. You could comfortably cut it down to your desired length and re-chamber it. Twist is 1:8.7 from memory. PM...

For club fire forming , that I can give a whirl at ?

52gr of 2209 gave me good accuracy at 2815fps with single digit ES and SD.

Re: Copperhead 184gr VLD

With the latest small shipment of Berger’s bought in by BRT seeing 7mm pills now up to 90c ea my next order will likely be for Kens new 184gr bullet. Has anyone tried any yet? Had anyone got a pic of one side by side with a Berger hybrid or VLD Cheers Ben. Haven't tried any. I did speak to Ken abou...

Re: Motivational Music

If I'm in the car on my way to shoot, usually a collection of music off my phone - no bands in particular but I gravitate towards hard rock, industrial, darkwave...anything other than mainstream.

Re: Reloader 16 & 23?

Burn rate is similar to 2213SC so consider a load around that.

Re: Reloader 16 & 23?

I don't shoot a 284 but I shoot a 280AI and RL23 is my powder of choice. It is providing very good accuracy at 2815fps with no pressure and is very easy on brass. There's also a node at 2940 so I can run it at SAUM speeds and this node may be handy at the longs. I'm not convinced RL23 will give you ...

I have a spare Timney trigger with minimal use sitting around doing nothing - left hand top safety though.

Precision Varminting - Beau is bringing it in. Didn't have a whole lot of 6XC brass in his first shipment (1000 pieces only for 6XC but 5000 6.5 Creedmore), it's also the most expensive brass at $250 per 100.

Re: Alpha munitions brass

I have received 200 of the 6XC brass. It's heavier than Norma and I presume slightly less capacity but haven't measured. Haven't had a chance to test it properly yet but 38gr of RL16 was safe in my rifle. Headspacing slightly longer than Norma out of the box but no issue with chambering in a standar...

Re: Best 6mm pills

What about the new Sierra 107’s with the uniformed tips?? How do they compare BC wise and tuning compared to the Berger 105 Hybrid. I am happy with the hybrid and have 1400 on the shelf at the moment however looking for other alternatives to use in a club shoot or practise and keep the Berger’s for...

Re: Best 6mm pills

Yes, sadly we are still waiting for Berger 108's. Down to my last 200. I am getting Lapua Scenar L's next week to try in my new Dasher barrel. Anyone had any success with these? I really like these in 180gn in my 7mm. Yeah I bought a couple of thousand - BC isn't the best but they're consistent and...
