Re: BEST SCOPE FOR F OPEN

I own and use a couple of Vortex Golden Eagles which I got for a very good price. No complaints with them despite the lack of a zero stop - for F Open I don't need that. Glass is perfectly acceptable, I can't tell the difference between the GE and NF Comp for glass, but I find the GE easier to get b...

I'm surprised Sierra manage to sell bullets here given the prices they charge.

Re: Front Rest???

Depends on your budget really. I like to buy once - cry once. At the high end, Farley, SEB and Dolphin Company have some very nice options (around $2k). Plenty of serious shooters running Farleys and SEBs. Dolphin Company is a little more exotic but runs more expensive due to the British pound. A go...

Re: WHICH MOUNTS

I run two Golden Eagles and run Spuhr mounts on both them. I prefer one piece mounts over rings and shooting F-open, the extra few grams is not a concern.Image

Re: Gosford Rifle Club OPM 2017

Good luck to all competing, enjoy and have fun. Unfortunately I'll be back on a plane for Perth and won't be behind the rifle until next January.

Re: 280 AI information Blog

Hi Graham, sorry to read about your troubles. I had previously read about US shooters also trying to fireform out of 30-06 brass for the Lapua factor and suffice to say they had the same trouble you did. Only way around it would be to have a custom reamer made to suit the slightly shorter brass so y...

A massive thumbs up to all the Aussies over there competing, and well done to Rod. Sounds like a beast of a range to shoot on and no doubt the experience gained by everyone will be remembered for a long time.
