Re: WHICH MOUNTS

I run two Golden Eagles and run Spuhr mounts on both them. I prefer one piece mounts over rings and shooting F-open, the extra few grams is not a concern.Image

Re: Gosford Rifle Club OPM 2017

Good luck to all competing, enjoy and have fun. Unfortunately I'll be back on a plane for Perth and won't be behind the rifle until next January.

Re: 280 AI information Blog

Hi Graham, sorry to read about your troubles. I had previously read about US shooters also trying to fireform out of 30-06 brass for the Lapua factor and suffice to say they had the same trouble you did. Only way around it would be to have a custom reamer made to suit the slightly shorter brass so y...

Re: F-Class World Championships 2017

A massive thumbs up to all the Aussies over there competing, and well done to Rod. Sounds like a beast of a range to shoot on and no doubt the experience gained by everyone will be remembered for a long time.

I was on a waiting list for one since late Feb but haven't heard anything and don't really need it now, you can jump my spot in the queue if you want.

Re: 280 AI information Blog

32" Bartlein 5R, 1:8.5 twist. 59.4gr of 2217 yields 2830 av, SD of 7 with 180gr VLDs. Using Norma 280AI brass, CCI BR2 primers. Groups well but I think there's another node at 60.8 of 2217 which I will experiment with next month when I'm home.

Re: 280 AI - Load development - Stage one

I use cci br primers and Nosler brass. I am up to eight times loaded. I am waiting for a custom small base die as the cases are getting a bit tight in the base and fl does not quite get to it. I fired one case 8 times with 62 grains for a test and seemed to hold up ok Good luck with your testing Th...

Re: 280 AI - Load development - Stage one

Both my 280 Ackley's sit between 60.8 and 61.1 after the initial speed up. Usually giving me around the 2970fps There is a lower node around 59.2 that gives me 2910fps but I found my 61.1 was a great node from 300 to 1000 yards That was using 2217. I did try 2213 and 2209 but came back to 2217 as t...
