Re: NRAA incorporates IBS 600yd BR into the SSR's.

hi norm although the ratification of IBS 600 BR it is an extremely positive step by the NRAA, it is only early days in terms of getting it up and running at interested clubs around Australia. for example, to introduce it at Narromine Dubbo it will have to be first approved by the NSWRA, then by our ...

Re: Barrel Cool device

g'day rod

I don't know is he is still in business.

mr norlin pioneered the use of bottled CO2 and adapters to cool barrels around 18--20 years ago.

he sent me some samples at the time.

I still have a few spares, I will send them to you.

Re: Barrel Cool device

in the central west of nsw (and I am sure many other areas), during summer especially, it is quite common for direct sunlight and the ambient temperature to make barrels quite warm to touch before a shot is fired. even with HV varmint taper and parallel barrels it only requires a few rounds to make ...

Re: 2 Way Radios

hi matt we have been using these for around 4 years. perfectly clear/powerful from down in the butts (out of sight 10 foot down) to firing mound for over 1000yds. waterproof, have tested on flat country to over 5km, batteries have been left on for 12 hours plus without problems. actually, accidental...

Re: Weight sorting primers to improve SD

williada I appreciate your comments and input, but J4 and sierra jackets are I assume stamped (to the highest standards) in 1 pass and from batch to batch and within batches there are discernable weight differences. also the actual degree of accuracy of the scales being used for any comparisons need...

Re: Weight sorting primers to improve SD

when weighing cases, due to variations in the thickness of the rims and or extractor groove, cases of identical interior volume, can and do weigh significantly differently. in regard to weighing primers, is it assumed that the cup and anvil are all equal in weight? otherwise, weight variations might...

Re: 600yd Bench rest

chop in answer for your first question, 600 yards is the required distance for this discipline. although similar in some respects to 1000yd BR ( sighting/record target times etc), 600 yard BR competitors host group and score and an agg of each for 4 targets and no shoot off. Score tie is broken by g...
