Re: Benchmark 8208 / 155.5 / 308 FTR

Hi James: my experience with 8208 in a range of target rifles all 308, with
30-32" barrels has been positive. My best empirical loads are between 43.5 - 43.8gr, but adverse
pressure evident at 44gr. Speeds in vicinity of 2990fps, but more temperature sensitive than 2208 I suspect.

Re: Trigger adjustment - Dale Rifle

Hi Paul; fairly confident this is a Graham Mitcham designed trigger manufactured by Bernie Dalton, who was responsible for the production of the Dale action. I also have an identical trigger on a Dale action. Alas I cannot recall the adjustment sequence as requested, but if you call Dick Spillman, h...

Re: Is This An Angel Action

Ok; still intrigued! I have a number of Dale Match actions which have a large forward recoil lugg with 4 bedding screws and another bedding screw at the rear of the action, but as I said earlier they don't resemble this action and bolt. Would like to see a side and base/underside view of the action....

Re: Is This An Angel Action

Intriguing question; Bernie Dalton the maker of the Dale rifle action was ever experimenting, and as Barry Davies suggested created several variations which relied on a donor Omark bolt or in some cases a proprietary one piece bolt. However, I have not seen an example such as this; Bernie Dalton is ...

Load data for Berger 155.5 308W

Anyone have a pet load for the new Berger 155.5 projectile in the TR code? Have seen Varget/ADI 2208 45.4-46gr with a jump of .15-.30" via Lapua brass recommended on a US based forum.

Sierra 90gr; further

Not approved for NRA usage; nor is it my intention to do so, but there are other avenues to pursue experimentation and I imagine some TR shooters with 'near' compatible twist rated barrels have done so out of curiosity?

Load data: Sierra .22 90gr

Does anyone have load data on the Sierra 90gr projectile suit 5.56/1:6.5 and/or 1:7 twist, 30" barrel? If possible include powder type, charge weight, seating depth, and pressure/velocity if known; plus general commentary about accuracy success. Data applicable to Barnard/Krieger combination would b...
