Re: nswra queens 2018

John it was meant to be tongue in cheek, as a stir to Paul. I should have attached some of those smiley faces. :P :P :P

Re: nswra queens 2018

Paul i think what Bruce is getting at is only TR can officially win the queens, there is no queens prize for F Class. As you have said we are all a part of the same National Body, so then dont we all deserve to be afforded the opportunity to achieve the same honours?

Re: Looking for feedback

Shane as Johnk has mentioned we do have the ability to run 30 targets, a balance of target costs vs how many shooters per target will have to be met so as not to have the entry fee blow out. The idea will be to have early registration and pre paid entries with a cut off date for this competition to ...

Re: Looking for feedback

Agree with most feedback here so far especially Tim; Alan and Rod! Keep it long range Make the 20 shot matches Bisley - actually I would prefer it all Bisley Keep it to a separate 2 day match - as Rod said and it is easier for me to make a 2 day match than a full week plus travel! The one proviso n...

Re: Looking for feedback

Tim blow off shots will be included, the way in which they are to be conducted honestly im not too sure as at this stage as we are still in preliminary planning and costing it all out. We did have them at the S.A. queens earlier this year and i think were allocated half an hour from either 7 or 7.30...

Looking for feedback

Hi, im looking for feedback on a potential OPM format that would see shooters travel to Lower Light. What im proposing is to have a 2 day event all long range, Day 1 would be on a Saturday and may consist of 2 to a mound bisley style shooting. 2 sighters and 15 to count double 800mtrs in the morning...

Re: Several primers not showing much pin strike

Bainp See Johnk's last post. I agree that yes insufficient spring tension either from a weakened spring or due to the seated length of the spring changing mechanically as i suggested in my posts could cause this. I have seen it with my own rifle from both issues i listed and easily rectified, Check ...

Re: Several primers not showing much pin strike

The other thing i have seen is with firing pins that thread into the cocking piece is that over time the firing pin winds its self out and reduces the amount of pressure due to lengthening of the section where the spring sit effectively reducing spring pressure when cocked. In the action i saw this ...

Re: Several primers not showing much pin strike

Does your trigger assembly have any free play where it mounts to to the action? I have seen where trigger assemblies are able to move forward under pressure from cocking which reduces the travel of the firing pin and reduces the spring tension causing light strikes.
