HI Chris,
Might be able to do a short run between batches depending on my time, but we planned to do next batch in a few weeks.
Cheers

Re: FCWC - 2021

I thought you said the team will be shooting 6mm wssm and those new 120gn Copperheads at 4000fps that have greater BC than a .338 edge ?  And dont tell anyone about the new secret FTR projectile we are using 8-[ Chris Yes, if they hear you are shooting the new 7mm Copperheads in your...

Re: FCWC - 2021

Anything posted here would be suspect and unreliable  I'm sure we wouldn't want to help our rivals beat us by giving all our secrets away. Yes, if they hear about the team all using 28 Noslers they will all want one. I thought you said the team will be shooting 6mm wssm and those new 120gn Co...

Re: New Barrel

Simply talking about following the manufacturer's because they for some reason they have a tendency to know best, if the muzzle end a new barrel is badly copper fouled it's a dead give away. And if a new barrel looking in the barrel is copper fouled then shoot another 10 rounds, next time you clean...

Re: New Barrel

How would a barrel company look down a barrel and know if you had run it in? The idea of running in is without carbon (slippy) the projectile rubs off the high spots (going to happen anyway after a 30 rounds or so). Way back when with .303 barrels they were rough and to quickly get best accuracy you...

Re: New Barrel

Why is it important to run in a new barrel? I have done this many times but I really do not know why. Thanks Ben Waiting for flames, but it is not necessary to run a barrel in not a target barrel anyway. How can it be important on a polished barrel? How can firing a shot and cleaning do anything ap...

Re: Rifle weighing scales.

Get some good quality digital kitchen scales. Some only go to 5kg but that just means you have to remove the scope and the stock and add it all up. You should not have a problem though finding 10kg ones if you dont mind spending a bit more than Kmart ones. Accuracy wise they will be within a gram or...

Re: Loan of a flex pod

Chris I think the idea with the flex pod is to shoot it with some shoulder pressure so not free recoil. Geoff I accept your challenge you filthy Victorian. We might have to fight this duel at the SA Queen’s as I won’t have a barrel till December :D Quick draw at 30 paces with 8.25kg FTR rifle ...

Re: Auspod release

Most scissor type bipods dont go low enough due to the mechanism being in the way, but we went to great extents to make the Auspod go as low as possible. We even cast the bronze bearings so they were exactly as we wanted them and also cast the pins that connect the height adjuster to the legs to ens...

Re: Auspod release

Just ran a tape over mine and it is 570mm when down. Yes the handle is for elevation and the handle at the side which will be an optional extra will be for windage (already started production of handle :D ). Wider could be made to a special order for extra cost (more time involved in one off), but w...

Re: Loan of a flex pod

Thanks.I think success with something like a Flexpod will be very dependant on if you free recoil or not. I cant imagine them working well for free recoil, not consistently anyway.

Re: Loan of a flex pod

A flexing bipod does not sound like a good idea. We went to great length to eliminate flex when designing mine (Auspod).
