Re: Victorian Queens Series - 2018

Yeh, but, Alan, out of the 27 that didn't go in 2017, how many were because of the targets and how many were because of work/other commitments? I personally prefer paper at comps, especially queens, but it's a big call blaming just the targets for a decline in numbers without actually asking those t...

Trigger adjustments

There was i post on here somewhere not that long ago about how to adjust trigger pull weights on different triggers. At least I think it was here. Can someone please point me in the right direction, because I'm buggered if I can find it. I was looking for the one with the curved blade Davies trigger...

Re: 2209 with 30 cal 155.5 Bergers

You'd be better off using the 8208. It's similar to 2206 I believe.

Re: BEST SCOPE FOR F OPEN

Coming from a t/r shooter who occasionally shoots ftr on practise days, why is that Matt P? Is it for personal reasons, as in the recticles are to fine or the turrets aren't to your liking, or have you had dramas with them? I'm not looking to start a shit fight between you and the other guys, I'm ju...

Are you chasing an aftermarket trigger or just trying to adjust the one you have?

Re: 223 Rem throat length

If you are able to get hold of a couple of 80 grn projectiles first before adjusting the throat and trying them first, I'd do that. I've personally found that the hornady sit deep compared to bergers and sierras. In my savage anyway. One of the guys at north arm shoots 80 vld in a standard tikka thr...

Foresite mount size

Guys, I was given an old 98 mauser target rifle about 12 months ago and finally got around to changing it back to a t/r setup yesterday. It's in pretty good shape for it's age with a 1:14 26" madco barrel on it. When I went to put a barrel mount on it for the front tunnel, the spare one I had i...

Re: Lee Collet Neck Die

Guys, I'm not saying that there is anything wrong with the dies. It made good rounds, it was just my ocd f#€@ing with my head again. I still have it and just about to gjve it another go on the neilson I picked up recently.

Re: Lee Collet Neck Die

Yeh, nah, they are the same. They aren't a bad die for the money, but I couldn't get my head around the end result of what the crimp did to outside of the necks. Those three grooves that was left after sizing was what did it for me. I'm not saying that it was wrong or it made a difference to accurac...

Thanks you all for your replies, I did remove the firing pin to find the lands which worked very well, but im having trouble with cases once i try to neck size them.
