Re: What calibre?

Dont discout the 6br Ackley improved. We have one on our range. Less hassle with fire forming than the dasher and an improvement on the br case for capacity Good luck for the wife......, but we all know that you want to ditch those iron sights and come over to the enlightened side :) this rifle is ...

Re: What calibre?

Cool, thanks for your comments. 6br it will be then. pjifl, the rifle won't be anywhere near weight so natural recoil will be bit of an issue.

What calibre?

Hey guys, I'm looking at setting up a f class rifle for the Mrs to use. I'm thinking along the lines of a 6br. Accurate and with bugger all recoil. Now, I was just looking at dies and the option of a 6mm ppc appeared. What is the difference between them and do they use the same cases? I remember rea...

Colin Cole has shot 105.21 at north arm. Again, it was a few years ago.

Re: promoting the nraa image

I'm all for the blood donation idea. But can I suggest the donation after shooting. Especially for t/r shooters. Last time I gave vlood in the morning and shot after it didn't go well. Granted it was pretty warm weather, but I won't be doing it again.

Just out of interest, how long ago were the 144 the only bullet being used?

Re: Sierra 2156 base to ogive

If you've got a long throat in your chamber, try the 155.5 hbc projectiles. I had an old omark that the 155.5 bergers only just touched the case mouth sitting on the land, but the hbc seated about half way down the neck.

Re: Sierra 2156 base to ogive

Unable to measure them at the moment as I'm at work. But, they seat very similar to the 155.5 bergers if that's any help to you. Consistency is very good so far with the 2 boxs I've opened. Especially when you consider that they are factory pointed.

Re: tell me about tuners for fclass

Forgive my ignorance, and I'm not being a smart-ass, but isn't a tuner doing the same thing as the o rings? Just changing harmonics to create better groups?

Re: Diopter

All good. I got the answer and yes I am correct. Unless it's one of the new zero magnification diopters.

Diopter

Am I correct in saying that if I use a diopter in the rear sight, I have to take the eagle eye out of the tunnel?

Re: WTB Rear sight for LH Omark

Muzza, you can use a normal sight and screw the rear iris onto the other side of the windage arm for it to become a lefthanded one.

Re: Shooting in Commonwealth Games

The Target Rifle pairs, with Benn Emms and Jim Bailey shooting together will be on Tuesday 10th and the individuals will be on Thursday 12th. I'm not working those days so I will be scanning the games channels for footage. Rod, the pairs are on Monday and Tuesday and the individual is on Wednesday,...

Re: Shooting in Commonwealth Games

It was good to see the commentators talking so freely about the shooters, and not just the shotguns for a change. The only down side to it is as it stands at the moment, the Queens event (fullbore) won't be televised on free to air tele. I mentioned it on on of Shooting Australia's facebook shares t...
