Re: 2019 what’s your plans?

Hey Tim, I'm hoping to do the same as you but, I'm also a little worried about SA Queens in July weather wise. What is S.A like weather wise in July? I didn't shoot much at all in 2018, but it looks like 2019 will be a bit busy. My first shoot for the year will likely be the Ungarie Bisley shoot in...

Congrats to Matt Paroz for taking out F Open, pipping Peter Merriman and Ben Goodwin. I'm still waiting for results to trickle in for the other disciplines.

Re: Best 6mm pills

I have ended up going to the Copperheads. I use the 103s in my 6BRA, 6Dasher and 6x47, but use the 95gn Copperhead in my 6BR. The Fly shooters and 1000yd BR shooters like the 103 Copperheads as well. Good ballistics, very uniform and seem to like some jump, so don't need jamming.

I will not stand here and accept these allegations.

Let me take a seat first, we could be here a while.

Looking forward to tomorrow.

I will see if I can talk a few blokes into coming down with me from NSW next year.

[/quote] I think u nailed that explanation ! I remember when you were up at Belmont a couple Years ago, I shot my rifle at 1000 yds and I had to shoot on 20x . I then gave u my rifle to shoot and you wacked it up the 55 x and shot a good score !! When I saw you turn up the power, I was just amazed h...

Re: High power scopes and NQ mirage!!

I have found there are two distinct groups of shooters. Those who see mirage and those who don't. Those who do see mirage will be the ones, who at shoots will be talking about how they couldn't see the target at 55-60x like some were using, so wound back to 15-20X. They often seem to be the people w...

Yes, if they hear about the team all using 28 Noslers they will all want one. I thought you said the team will be shooting 6mm wssm and those new 120gn Copperheads at 4000fps that have greater BC than a .338 edge ?  And dont tell anyone about the new secret FTR projectile we are usin...

Re: Varying powder charge summer/winter?

Going from what I have seen at work heating large bits of steel on earthmoving gear with pin and bearing bores, I would agree that Tims theory has some merit when it comes to barrel heat from firing (but not ambient temps). The last time I heated a fairly large casting with a bearing bore in it was ...
