Re: News Flash - World Champ to build a Creedmore

Rod goes out socialising with his friends then the whole world knows what caliber the Aussie team is taking to South Africa. Good one Having to sport a man bun may also be part of the selection process by the look of it. Well I do like Chai latte and can rock skinny jeans but I lack the long flowin...

Re: The effect of too much twist and speed

Walker Flatline will be OK if you are not shooting under ICFRA rules ICFRA rule F2.20. Ammunition may be commercial or handloaded but loaded in a manner consistent with the ammunition industry’s accepted standards; must be safe to fire in the rifle for which it is intended and must meet in all resp...

Re: 300 WSM loads

To answer my own question, absolutely no pressure signs at all with a node in the 66s. so i will try low 66s at 800m on saturday. recoil is stout in a 7.5 kg rifle, noticeably more than the saum at these velocities (assuming around 2800, no chrono). That would be "stout" in a 7.5kg rifle....

Re: 7mm SAUM Rechamber/Barrel Life

Macguru , These figures of 900-1000 rounds are with 2209 which is very STOUT in the SAUM at 2950+ hence the reduced barrel life but the trade off is they are VERY Accurate and consistent. You can however double the life with slower powders like 2217 but they can be a little tricky to keep tuned but...

Re: 7mm SAUM Rechamber/Barrel Life

I have only put highish round counts through 2 SAUM barrels. One was used to fire 100 new cases at 2840fps before shooting about 750-800 rounds with 2209 and about 2960 fps. At this stage it started to lose its edge. I tried to tweek loads a bit more, but it just wasn't as good as it was. It was abl...

Singo nice to see the 3 x 800 m on Sunday will there be any restrictions on parking there as it’s a bit tight for space Regards John We will fit. Bring on the 3x 800M ranges. Re: Match rifle and NSW queens

Not sure if this has been discussed but they are both on at the same time - bit of a bummer as they both interest me... I'll probably pick the queens and another chance to irritate Mr Davies :D While I’m sure you will find plenty of opportunities to irritate me, I too am disappointed that 2 of my (...

Re: WA Pinjar Range , energy limits ?

If you conform to the same limits as Belmont like you would for the QRA and National Queens you will be fine. Thanks Brad , I'll work on my 2930 fps load . It's a shame as I have worked up a 3015 fps load for 180 hybrids. I think I'll struggle to put into competition somewhere to put it to the test...

What do you think 180s would do?

Come apart from excessive RPM once the barrel got fouled or hot from a long shot string.

Re: Reloader 16

Hi Rod I can't seem to find AR- Comp - didn't search it but who makes it? I have mucked about with a few others lately but no success for me in F/TR over 2208 as yet? W760; CFE223 and I have some PowerPro2000 to trial? I just see another listed under Hodgon available ex Winchester - LeveRevolution ...

Shane, is AR-comp available in Oz yet?
It will likely be handy for many cartridges we use as well.
