Re: Twist rate recommendation vs calculated twist rate

Also consider that Berger is bringing out an 85.5gn hybrid which should be great in 223 and this would be even more suited to 7” as are the 90gn Sierra’s which might would be worth a try. I think more Bartleins are due to arrive in the next few weeks and there might be a 7” in that run?

Re: NSW Queen’s

Sounds like a great idea, I’ve never seen a range with a view like that, I’m guessing the wind is pretty constant? Reckon I can convince the whole family to come to there :D When the wind is from the left it is fairly consistent, but it is trickier when it is from the right, as it was for 95% of th...

Re: 6 br additional calibre

I don't have anything to do with TR and so don't have any real opinions on whether or not introducing 6BR as a cartridge is a good thing or not. I had heard though that some TR shooters had put the request for allowing 6BR to NRAA, so I think it is good that they are at least listening to shooters r...

Re: NSW Queen’s

Back home from a very tough but enjoyable shoot. The weather forecasts were for torrential rains, but fortunately, every time we rushed off for the wet weather gear, the rain disappeared quickly. As others mentioned, the winds were usually quite strong, but with occasional reasonable conditions, int...

Re: 7SAUM elevation

Sorry 14th in each string. Hmmm, OK, so not a fouling thing then, more heat related. Have you tried other barrels in this action/stock? Just wondering if it could be an action bedding issue. I have had different brand barrels change POI slightly at a certain round count, but not the one you are usi...

I can fire the first 14 and then all of a sudden shots are all printing 1 minute high.

First 14 after cleaning, or first 14 in each string?

Re: 7SAUM elevation

Hi guy’s I’m finding that my 7SAUM will group in the X ring for the first 14 shots and then for the next 6 it prints one minute high at 600m. I am using Berger 180 VLDs and once fired Norma cases. The barrel a Bartlien has had about 600 rounds through it. CCI Large rifle primmerS & 59.3gr Powde...

They were made by Dave MacNamara, who is no longer in the shooting game unfortunately

No, it will be OK, maybe a little damp for a day if you read the optimistic forecasts. It'll be a good 5 days.
