Re: 223 questions

He could try the Berger 75 VLDs. They work very well in my 9" 22BR. No 80gn pills worked well in this 9" barrel unless it was very hot weather.

Re: Junior F Class State Teams

Great to see the competition went well, congrats to those who competed and those who put in the hard work to make it happen.
It looks like we will have some great team members in the Under 25 squad in South Africa 2021.

what does this say about free lunches?

It says the nut behind the butt is the most important bit of equipment.
(though experience in the local conditions wouldn't hurt either)

Re: SARA Queens Series

What more could be said about Stuart Braund’s performance in F Open? Only dropping 3 points in the Queens and 4 points in Grand Agg in the house of pain must have blown range records into the weeds. In F/tr it was closer with big Mick Ponturiero pipping Darren Bradley by a point followed closely by ...

Steve N wrote:Just me or are the results on the NRAA confusing? Do TR and F Class shoot together?

TR starts the Queens at 300m while F class has a late start and joins the Queens at the 500y range, with a 15 shot match.

Re: North Queensland F-Class - Long Range Bisley Challenge

man are those mounds steep. you could take cover behind them. shooting a big hitter might require crawling back up the mound between shots. bruce. The mounds actually weren’t as steep as they looked in the pictures. I think it is more a case of the cameraman and shooters standing on a funny angle f...

Wow, one point down for 2 days, with a massive amount of Xs at the tricky Lower Light range. What a performance.

Re: North Queensland F-Class - Long Range Bisley Challenge

Thanks Shane for running such a great event and to Betta for her assistance as well, it all went very smoothly. It was great to catch up with the FNQ lads again as usual, a top bunch to socialize with for those who aren't too easily offended. I can see myself making the pilgrimage again next time, q...

If no one gets back to you, try Elks in Muswellbrook. They should be able to get it in.

Re: 22 BR

The 6BR FLS die with a smaller bushing will be OK for forming cases, and sizing them after firing. The 6BR seater die will usually not work with a 22BR, so it is likely that you will either have to buy a 22BR seater, or maybe get your gunsmith to run the chamber reamer into a die blank. Either 2208 ...

Re: to make a fire form barrel or not

If you are worried about eroding your barrel with extra fire forming shots, another alternative is to use Trailboss powder to fireform the cases, with some cheap and nasty 6mm plinking bullets. You could fore 100 rounds pretty quickly without heating up the barrel, eroding the throat or using up yo...

I can send some 6 Dasher and 284 Shehane brass. Not exactly what you are after, but not sure if it will help.

Re: Ftr stock what’s the best.

If you are a right handed shooter go for a left hand bolt and left hand feed. In F Class shooting this is the best ergonomics. Good Luck. Cheers Cliff. Why do you make this suggestion Cliff? I'm a newbie to the sport so interested to learn. If you are lying behind your rifle with the butt into the ...
