Re: Wanted. Rem action wrench

I would highly recommend the Davidson (rear) wrench, I previously used an aluminium 'rod' type which ended up twisting after repeated use. Brownells Aust ($$$ :? ) can get them in (10ish days), or it's an Ebay job (though exchange rate and postage are a killer). N.B: I had to turn down the diameter ...

Are you trying to remove a factory barrel?

Re: powder in .223

I've settled on 2208 - so I can use the same powder for loading 308 & 6mm - always had consistent results out to 800+. The 1 in 8 twist should be OK for the 80 grain projectiles as long as your velocity is up there. I agree with williada, on the load, though I only use standard primers - PMC/CCI...

Re: Case deburring tools

Started using the Forster 3-in1 a couple of years ago. Everything done in 1 step. Set up with a cordless screwdriver rather than hand winding. I find there's virtually no variation from case to case once set up for a caliber and have had good results with 223, 308 & 6BRX http://www.forsterproduc...

Re: Sightron Scope and Reticle Query

FWIW I have two Sightron 10x50 scopes - 1 Fine cross hair & 1 Mildot reticle - personally I prefer the Mildot, especially in bad/low light and heavy mirage. At the shorts the Fine X has its advantages though. The Mildots aren't that much of a benefit as far as 'holding off' as I usually use the ...

Re: Dolphin rifle stocks availability?

Does anyone know if Dolphin Gun Co have an Australian distributor? I know that Barnard are importing them into NZ, when I contacted them they led me to believe that I need an import permit to get one from shipped from there (and I shudder to think of the paper trail that would involve). BH Don't sh...

Re: Eliseo recoil pad (previously posted in 'For sale/WTB')

Got the new pad today (3 weeks isn't bad from China). Had a little trouble fitting it as it was about 5mm too short. Should be better than bare aluminium though.

Re: Eliseo recoil pad (previously posted in 'For sale/WTB')

Update: Was forwarded an email from Gary Eliseo (via a very helpful Phoenix Trading) about suggested options for a pad: "...it's a modified Tapco pad, I trim the flaps off with a razor blade and drill a hole to access the adjustment screw." I've ordered an alternate, and will add further c...

Re: Eliseo recoil pad (previously posted in 'For sale/WTB')

Note: recoil pad must match the baby blue glitter paint job on the stock Thanks for the descriptive comment Nathan, though I doubt I'll find a Sparkly Smurf blue recoil pad. =D> =D> I am now bringing glitter and fixative spray up to the range after the teams match... To the 'HELPFUL' cont...

Eliseo recoil pad (previously posted in 'For sale/WTB')

Just bought an Eliseo R1 stock (Pierce action, Pac-nor barrel) and it came with the standard aluminium butt plate. I have seen that there is a recoil pad available which "snaps over" the existing plate. Does anyone have or have any info on where I could get my hands on one. The unit is wor...
