Re: MCSI, update needed

Danny.

Can you breakdown the scores to give the results at 500 and 900, separately? Previous results would be interesting.

John T.

Re: MCSI, update needed

Hello Danny.

At what distances are these teams events conducted? Is there a pattern, for example, are the scratch scores at short ranges fairly close, but the difference is larger with the MCSI adjusted scores? Does this imbalance lessen as the ranges get longer?

John T.

Re: tell me about tuners for fclass

Barry, Matt et el.

What about a "ploughman's tuner"?

30" x 1.25" barrel.
Counter-bored to 1.2" x 0.85"
OD threaded
2 of, 1.25" x 0.4" x 2.0" ring weights.

Forward movement is the prime requirement.

John Tracey.

Re: KEEP ME IN TUNE

Hello all. Assume that you have developed a "load" ( best-tested combination of brass, sizing, neck tension, primer, powder and load, seating etc.) for your bullet-of-choice that is "in tune" with your rifle to the extent that you have confidence in maintaining X-Ring (.5moa) ele...

KEEP ME IN TUNE

Hello.

Why does my rifle slip in performance?

If you have been lucky enough to have your rifle hit where you point it, what do you do when that stops?

Stop jamming.

There will be plenty to say. About 99% would like an answer.

John Tracey.

Re: tell me about tuners for fclass

Hello. Bruce. This site is awash with very informative Subjects on barrel tuners etc. Samples; "Load development for positive compensation - Barrel Tuner" 22-2-16 "Load tune vs barrel tune" 16.10.16 "Positive Compensation" 18.11.16 "Barrel Tuners" 16.4.17 Sear...

Re: FCWC 2021

Error in my last post.

The vote in 2005 was for 2009, not 2013.

Re: FCWC 2021

Hello. The answer to the mystery (if there was one) of the NRAA bid is to be found in the Minutes of the 2005 Meeting of the F Class Committee. Go to the ICFRA Home Page, select "Minutes", then "2005 F-Class Committee". The voting for 2013, including 5 proxies (which must have in...

Re: FCWC 2021

Bruce, with respect, this is NOT "need to know". That is the fob off for mushrooms. Mushroom cultivators are invariably a self-centered and self-interested clique. If you want to ensure the decline of F Class in Australia, let the clique develop and dominate. If there is no openness in com...

Re: FCWC 2021

Hello Matt. You are the most likely Australian F Open shooter to know of this Australian proposal (in 2002, 2005?). A lot of misinformation has been bandied about. Some of it not relevant to the present. But it is relevant for us to know if there was a proposal in time past and what come of it. It w...

Re: BEST SCOPE FOR F OPEN

Thanks Gyro. Clearly, this guy had no budget, yet he chose a Sightron SIII. OK, it may have been chosen because it had the required elevation range, but surely some of the very expensive scopes mentioned on this topic offer similar in 24-power? The SIII was my intended, but maybe I should look again...

Hello All.

Unless someone screams "don't do it!", my next buy will be the Sightron.

Bruce.

I take it that you have had a whisper in your shell-like that there is an item on the Agenda for the next meeting of the NRAA Board.

Re: FCWC 2021

Hello. It seems that Ireland (ROI) is now in the mix. Joe tells us that ROI made a bid in 2017 to host in 2025. Cheeky! No "rotation" in their eyes. (Pity we have not been kept informed by our own representatives.) Once Australia is an official contender, there will be six countries vying ...
