Re: promoting the nraa image

Re: airlines

I had mine in carry on, i was just asked to put them in my checked baggage. What state are you going from/to. In WA projectiles are ammunition and need to be locked up, but for air travel they are just inert bits, BUT it all falls to the individual you end up dealing with. Imo if you pack them as pe...

Re: RCBS Chargemaster

Are you sure its the button?
Mine failed to swich on but the power supply was still chucking out voltage. It turned out to be a bit of corrosion on the negative terminal on the Chargemaster. Quick scrape with a needle file and all good again.

Re: Reloading Equipment

I always have the Lee hand press with me when i travel. It's all i use over at the Bergers. Concentricity is a non issue if you use a Lee collet die. If you want specific neck tension just buy/make under/oversize mandrels. The RCBS seating die doesn't rely on the press for seating length, its inbuil...

Re: Bix'n Andy triggers

Not wanting to take anything away from the FNQ trigger, its a very nice piece of work. There is a Barnard trigger being made in QLD in dual stage and single stage versions. The single stage specifically for F Class with a pull range in the 100g to 500g area. I hope to be taking a single stage versio...

Re: Seb PodPad

Gyro, imo (and it is just an opinion) it is the better option in some circumstances. Townsville has concrete mounds, I use the Pod pad there because I find the sand duls the torque that is fired down the leg. On the grassy mounds at Belmont I use a 3/8 steel plate with carpet on top. The grass is sq...

Re: Seb PodPad

I just won a Queens with one. I think Jason M was top Aus FTR in Canada and he uses one. They aren't everyones cup of tea, and certainly have their nuances, but i find they are great for absorbing that torque. I'll be back to my steel plate at Belmont cos a pod pad won't squash that grass, but up he...

Re: Barrel for Jr wanted

I'll measure to be sure (not home till Sunday) but the Barts should be 31" and the Maddcos 32" I'll measure and weigh and post back on Monday. Edited due to brain fart. The Barts are blanks. The Maddcos are unused and chambered 308 with an FTR reamer, threaded for a Barnard P just over 30&...

Re: Shooting in Commonwealth Games

The format could easily be televised simply by using a hexta/ozscore frame behind or a silver mountain in front of the manually marked ( official) target. What an oppertunity for the manufacturers! I would also assume that for the CG each shooter would have their own target face so markers could pat...
