Re: The Purdy Prescription (PRX)

My understanding of the Purdy Prescription is that it is based on tuning the acoustic resonance of a barrel. My current belief is that the acoustic resonance is the sound travelling down the steel of the barrel but I'm not totally convinced. Anyway.... There are two ways to visualise acoustics. The...

Re: NRAA Queens

Sorry to change the subject but once again congratulations to the winners of each division, they did well to beat a lot of good shooters. I hope they are enjoying being Australian Champions for a year. I would like to second that too! The rules need looking at not the Champions that won in one of t...

Re: NRAA Queens

I would rather stay out of the argument, but I did come up with an idea ! Forget the delay idea and have a minimum time limit! ??? 2-3 minutes ? I eventually warmed up to the ETs and liked them ! Cross fire shot rules were addressed on the last day and needs rules to be updated. Squadding in my opin...

Re: NRAA Queens

The field was divided into TR and F class Each group started at the same time. If TR shot first the scope shooters had to wait till TR was all done then we started. F class was ordered in their different classes but no pause between once the shooting started. I think it worked fairly well. The mark...

Re: RS propellant (Reload Swiss)

Would be good to see a new powder on the block. If its Swiss made, it will be good stuff! I just hope a certain distributor doesn't get their hands on it....... Or we'll never be able to afford it. Wonder who that could be  Chris The same one that is ripping us off with Lap brass , over $2 a c...

It's probably needed as just like the 7/08 Ai , there is nothing on the internet about 280 Ai , well target loads anyway! Re...

Re: Prefered primer for 280AI and AR2217

Hi Footsore, I never reached my target speed with the 2217, i ran out of case in my 280AI for 2217, and only reaches 2920fps. I was using BR2 large primers and a very limited trial with Federal 210m. I am using 2213sc and have no issues reaching my target of 2960 fps and found quite a wide powder n...
