Omark For Sale

Hi all. Am offering for sale an Omark in 308. I have never fired this rifle and bought it for a future project that has now been binned. I have owned the gun for a number of years and it has done nothing, but sit in my safe and get the occasional oiling. Rifle had had a Nightforce rail fitted by the...

Re: WTB .223 fclass rifle

Hi mate. Posting this on behalf of a mate. Remington repeater converted to single shot. Tuned Rem trigger. 30" Std Palma 1:8 Krieger Barrel. Less than 800 shots. Custom F Class stock with Anschutz rail in the front end. He has load data for it and as BATattack above has said, the gun shoots rea...

Re: Omark 44

Hi Chris. There is no secret or special load. You're going to have to work up to you max first and figure out where you need to be after that. I would imagine you're going to be somewhere between 43.5gr and 45gr of powder. Also, I would get someone who knows what they are doing to take a look at tha...

Re: New Two Box Chrono

I just ordered one of these to try at home. I don't have an issue with multiple shooters when I test, so will be interesting to see how it goes. I've used a mates LabRadar and really like it. I think they are definitely the way to go.

Re: SAKO Sporting Rifles - Any good…?

The standard one was hard, but crisp. I could shooot well enough with it using a 8x Kahles to make nice round 1/2" groups at 100 metres. I just purchased a Maddco unit for it on advice from a guy in the know. Was searching in vain for a Canjar, but found it easier locating unicorn shit. It wasn...

Re: SAKO Sporting Rifles - Any good…?

You've bought a good bit of kit that should last you a life time. I have an 85 varmint I had rebarrelled to 6 dasher and I have a L461 varmint in 20 vartarg. Both shoot exceptionally well. The 85 magazine shits me to use, 75 was much better. I wouldn't rush out to buy another 85, much prefer the 75 ...

Re: 10 Twist 308 Win barrel ok for 155.5gn projectiles?

I ran a 1:11 5R Krieger with 155.5gr pills and had no problems at all. My 1:10 I'm using for F/TR shot my old standard 155 load into the same hole at 100 yards when I was fire forming, so don't think you'll have a problem. I've yet to set up my 30/06AI Kieth. I've fire formed 50 cases, was hoping to...

Re: 308 minimum distance projectile needs to be seated into

I would change projectile or have the gun rechambered to suit the projectile of choice. Not enough bearing surface contacting the neck of the case can lead to poor run out and the projectile can become dislodged/loosen from travel. The old rule of thumb used to be at least as much bullet in the case...

I have a very good locally made annealer. Can someone explain how the crush tolerance on primer seating reduces these figures?

Re: Reducing ES & SD

I'm already using lab scales. Does weight sorting primers make that much difference?? How much variation do you find with them?

Reducing ES & SD

With all this talk about barrel tuning and load tuning for long range shooting, what is required to reduce ES & SD to acceptable levels. I feel like I have a fairly good loading technique, just wondering if I may be over looking something. I currently have an SD of 6.6 and an ES of 23 over 20 sh...
