Re: 6 br additional calibre

Why is the 223 not considered competitive? Just because people don't understand how to load or set up the guns to a competitive level should not be the consideration for bringing another cartridge in. I've seen very accurate and competitive 223s in FTR. The new Berger projectile will change nothing.

Re: Safety: Retiring from the mound

So we have to use chamber flags now? I think the system used now is the best one. There have never been any complaints or issues I have ever seen. I have always used the visual checking method with my hunting guns long before I started range shooting. Bolt removed (action opened in Bruce's case) sco...

Re: .222 40 gr z max loads ?

Just chuck in 20-21.5grs and see how you go. Have found those bullets need to be very close to the lands to get good accuracy. I run 21.5gr with 52gr noslers shots and will shoot well under half minute in a light sporter using Remington brass.

Re: West OZ Queen’s

There really were too many good shooters there not to squad. That was the only complaint I heard along with changing/moving the shooting order and the decision to roll through and then waiting on the last range. Some consistency would have been nice. The windows of opportunity were small, but that t...

Re: West OZ Queen’s

I'll think you'll find some FTR rifles are holding better waterline than the formula one guys here at the moment . . . . .

We tune guns between banjo picking and making pigs squeal.

Re: 2019 National Teams Match WA Queens

Ok , no pics sorry . But just a tough day at the office for some and other handled the conditions well . It started out on the right and again there were patches that could net the good shooters a possible. Then if one got caught out going back to unstable conditions, then one could expect some pai...

Re: WTB 6BR ACKLEY FINISHING REAMER

Does your BRAI chamber on the shoulder as per other ackley cartridges? Or do you have to jam projectiles and the shoulder moves forward?

Re: Wind Induced Vertical

Thanks for the info gents. We were shooting out to 1100 metres on the weekend and the wind was tricky to say the least.
