Re: Problems with CCI 450s

From another forum: Thomas Gonzalez : A perfect setup on a loaded round ready to fire would be to have no more that 0.001 gap between the shoulder of the loaded round and the shoulder of the chamber. and at least a firing pin with the minimum protrusion, .050 being the minimum and .060 being the ma...

Re: George Wittorff hunter class

Good!..... we have all had our say, now put it in a email and don't let George have a break over Xmas as he should be swamped with replies and hope that the NRAA are in favour with the results of George's end review of new class.

Re: George Wittorff hunter class

To get the best out of your ammo to be competitive you would use the heavy , longest bullet but to have them near or in the lands most mags are short in the ramp and therefore a lot will be having problems with chambering. As well do we need to change the SSRs for such a miner issue as we all load o...

Re: George Wittorff hunter class

Everyone is forgetting the whole point , out of the box , cheap hunting rifle for a introduction into our sport, not some $6000 costume rifle built by a gunsmith.

Re: George Wittorff hunter class

My thoughts are that a light bipod (harris type for example) and a rear bag with hand loads excepted would be a great help with getting a good score. Magazines are not needed or muzzle breaks as they just cause problems with other competitors, as for camo we are trying to look family friendly and to...

Re: NRAA Ammo Survey.

DannyS wrote:Trevor , the last thing we need is for the NRAA to increase membership by $25 to $30. Maybe, they should look at cost cutting or other ways of increasing income. Best way to increase income is to increase membership

Is this not decreasing cost for those that can't afford it.

Re: The Future

Something to think about Trevor and others envolved at the VRA which I think would be helpful... Firstly new membership applications need to be made easier... This whole/current system is not inclusive to new members... Currently new members have to find an "excepting club" once a new mem...

Re: NRAA Ammo Survey.

The levy the NRAA puts on projectile is 3 cent but if they increased the membership by $25 or $30 l don't think it would be any more, then everyone pays and the restricted ammo price comes down 3 cents those shooters wouldn't be disadvantaged and even might be better off.
