Re: Military rifle enthusiasts Queensland

Too be honest all the details are a bit vague. The owner had some age on him and is showing it. I will give him Scott’s details and we will go from there. Apparently he is a member of North Arm. Just don’t wan
t to see them handed in and destroyed.
Thanks to all

Re: Military rifle enthusiasts Queensland

Thanks Scott, he doesn’t really want to give them away but he wants a good home for them. I don’t think money is a real issue

Military rifle enthusiasts Queensland

Had an approach from a friend tonight seeking my help. He has two no4 SMLEs as issued (1944 vintage) and a couple of bayonets and some original leather ammo pouches. All legal and registered to him. He wants to get rid of them but would like them to go to somebody or some group that would appreciate...

Re: nraa funding of overseas shooting

There is Government money available for those who are selected in overseas teams but generally you have to apply for it. If shooters (whether TR or F-Class) are going to sit back and wait for the gravy train then they can forget it. Start with contacting your State Sport and Rec department and then ...

Re: Victorian Queens Series - 2018

Mike, The lunch break is for the markers. To have a fouling period means closing the track to the butts whilst it is occurring. I think the markers are entitled to free movement in their break. In any case we usually do not have a one hour lunch break (more like 45-50 minutes or even less if weather...

Re: commonwealth games

Bruce, Pretty simple system. Each city puts in a bid that includes the sports that they will support. Some sports such as athletics and swimming are compulsory and other sports are optional. Shooting is in the list of optional sports. For 2022 it was supposed to be Durban in South Africa who was to ...

Re: commonwealth games

Bruce,
The main job at the moment is to keep any shooting in the Commonwealth Games. It has always been an optional sport and at the moment it is off the list of sports for Birmingham 2022. There is a push to get it included but it may not happen. This is all shooting sports not just TR.

Re: FCWC 2021

We have shot the SA championships twice now and have toured extensively after each shoot by hiring cars and driving around. I have heard all the horror stories about security but in reality it is not an issue. You take the usual precautions and everything is fine. Bad news travels faster than good n...
