Re: Front bag rider

I use one of these on one of my older narrower stocked rifles. Works very well and comes with screws/t nuts for attaching to rail. https://www.sinclairintl.com/shooting-rests-bipods/shooting-rests-tops/shooting-rest-accessories/benchrest-adapters-prod45123.aspx The BRT may be better though due to it...

Re: Moly Magic

Yeah same deal I guess for when I used to clean my cases in an ultrasonic tank. I used very mild citric acid to clean but followed up with a wash in bi-carb solution. Before I did the bi-carb step I got some stunning (alarming) rainbow effects on my brass. It didn't usually appear until a day or so ...

Re: Labradar

How many bars on the bar graph on the left hand side of the screen are you typically getting? Low bar count indicates poor alignment and affects the tracking of the projectile. I am not happy unless I get 4 or 5 (max) bars. If I don't get 4 or 5 with the 1st shot I recheck the alignment thru the sig...

Re: Moly Magic

Yes, you may well not see it with a borescope. I could never see a real predominance of moly (you wouldn't want see it) with my Hawkeye even when I was shooting moly. But when I wanted to ween my 6.5 off it and shoot uncoated I just knew the moly was still in the steel for some time after the change...

Re: Moly Magic

Don't know the answer to your question re using Moly Magic to clean bullets but did find it close to useless for removing moly from a barrel that I wished to change to shoot naked projectiles thru. Have cleaned reasonable quantity of projectiles (long long job) of moly by putting them in my tumbler ...

Re: Trigger Identity

it looks like a Kiwi trigger from years ago or is it the same trigger made by C&B ? Chopper I have a Kiwi branded trigger that is fitted to an old P14 conversion from around the time of changeover from 303 to 7.62. It is a very nice trigger. I believe (and could be wrong) that a guy called Ken ...

Re: Trigger Identity

One possibility is Collings and Bradey of Wellington NZ. Din Collings was a long time highly regarded gunsmith and fullbore shooter.

Re: Salt Bath Annealing

Yes, I thought it looked a bit dodgy/messy/unsafe to me. Brings back memories (same equipment) from my bullet casting days - dealing with super hot liquid. I'll stick with my good old Bench Source. Reasonably finitely adjustable results, quick (I ran 100 cases thru in 13 minutes the other day), and ...

Re: Farley rest

Butch Lambert (Shadetree) makes replacement tension screw buttons for the Farley and yes, as Tin N suggests, try Stuart @ BRT.
