Re: Barnard action

Can depend on the brand and batch of brass, but with the right tooling very easy to open the boltface if required.

Re: Nraa queens

Tim No need for a mag will problably slow me down. Havent heard any bitching yet but to be honest don't care if they do, if it so much of an advantage they can go fast too. I guess I could wait for a change that might blow me out then fire another sighter just to keep them all happy. Conditions have...

Re: New F Open Rifle

Also with the bigger breech diameter I feel it might help with barrel expansion in the chamber area during firing. That’s kind of a theory on my part. Frank I agree with this 100% I’ve seen Actions in titanium and small shank Savages not being able the same pressure as stainless or chromoly especia...

Re: New F Open Rifle

David
I think you'll find the 1.350 due to the tenon diameter, on those PL actions is 1.125, not the normal 1.062.

Re: tell me about tuners for fclass

I used a muzzle weight - well forward - on two 284s. They shot extremely well. The way the weights were attached actually squeezed the bore slightly at the muzzle which may also be beneficial. I believe they did improve accuracy and also improved the recoil characteristics of the rifles. They could...

Re: tell me about tuners for fclass

David I have no issue giving out in-fo, I'm past the secret squirrel BS. The more good advise that's out there, the better it is for the sport, but in this open forum I'm very reluctant as the previous few times I've offered honest hard earned advise, I've been accused of just trying to sell a produ...

Re: tell me about tuners for fclass

Not being rude but do you honestly think someone who has worn out several barrels and used up thousands of components collecting data on which way to adjust his or her methods of keeping barrels in tune via load or tuner is simply going give away their methods on an open forum to be cut to pieces b...

Re: tell me about tuners for fclass

The 2 x 60.10's shot at "The House of Pain" during the Queens both used tuners. Like Jason said don't waste your time, tuners definitely are just a gimmick !!!

Hi Brad
Unfortunately the numbers just don't add up, I was going to do it but with exchange rates, shipping etc, etc, etc it's just not viable.

As far as I know they've been out of business for years, the only one I have seen had a lug cracked off it. With what else is about these days I wouldn't recommend it.

Re: Can we shoot ssaa disciplines on an nraa range

Brad
Not sure about WA, but our range may shoot NRAA disciplines but the range license is in the name of the cub/dra etc. So I can’t see why you can’t shoot what ever whatever fits into your standing orders.
