Re: promoting the nraa image

an interesting thought came to me.
if we relate the current membership situation to blood loss, how ironic is it that donating blood might help arrest this.
the platelets in blood are what stops bleeding.
perhaps the nraa board could do with some.

bruce.

Re: What calibre?

there seems to be a 6mm creedmoor now.
this might be a good one to just load and shoot.
multi choice good brass available now too.
if you have to neck down 6.5 creedmoor cases, this is a non event.

bruce.

Re: What calibre?

CREEDMOOR is the correct spelling. named after tha creedmoor range and competitions held there starting 1874 between the irish and anericans. so called as the land was originally owned by farmer creed, and being a bit swampy was referred to locally as a moor. the original matches were 800, 900, and ...

Re: promoting the nraa image

mike, you are typical of the civic minded people who give blood just because it is a good thing to do, and do it no questions asked. how many like you aleady exist in our circles? if this was set up the assn would get instant benefit and recognition. if we add more donors, it is win win. it could se...

Re: promoting the nraa image

i was thinking more of givimg blood at the blood bank. it would be done under a formal heading something like "nraa life saving blood" agreed to by nraa and the blood people. the nraa would encourage its members to give blood, and receive something like a plaque of gratitude each year. blo...

promoting the nraa image

short of changing the nraa name, it being a negative for new mwmbers, what can we do? a series of ongoing positive things associated with nraa would help. one suggestion is that the nraa set up a blood donor system with associate promotionin order to capitalize on it. should this happen it would not...

Re: More on Barrel Tuners

wsftr, i am talking of the 1 barrel shooter. having experienced the good and bad of compensation nodes, it is obvious that such a barrel is not an all range tool, unless perhaps you can get a load for each range. what a bore. so in moa vert, it must be tuneable to acceptable at all ranges. of course...

Re: More on Barrel Tuners

further thoughts from the perspective of the average grunt. i like the look of the huntsman tuner, but such designs are really impractical in terms of needing a new safe, gun boxes, etc due to length. rubber containing tuners look interesting. backboring the barrel - diameter and length of bore - ac...

Re: More on Barrel Tuners

thank you williada and others for input into this and the other recent tuner thread. some thoughts from the real world of an average guy. first of all, litz is a marketer, and of necessity has to appeal to the widest market for profit. evidence of this includes referring to wind deflection as wind d...

and it gets more complicated.
speed of bullet nodes might vary, but speed of sound nodes are likely constant.
