Re: sara queens

alan,
that is the dilemma they face.
it has been made official by management that queens is only tr, yet fclass badges have been as you describe.
all they nned to do is oficially recognize us as equals, and do so in actions to prove it.

bruce.

sara queens

it appears that sara will include 900 mt in this year's queens.
a step forward for fclass shooters.
still no chair for fclass so rentacrowd still exists.
same costs but socially second class.
keep safe,
bruce.

Re: Folded jackets on 180’s ??

graham, further thoughts on this subject. compare a whole packet of bullet points from the box against 1 bullet under a magnifying glass. this can be set up relatively easily with the glass supported on something and you just roll the bullets under one at a time with the control bullet there all the...

Re: Folded jackets on 180’s ??

sounds like another wanker on that site. his description suggests some form of pointing, although it is not clear what he is really doing. what we look for is a consistent b.c. to minimize vert. along with meplat length, meplat diameter affects b.c., and this is what you try to address when uniformi...

Re: nswra queens 2018

guys, just to put things straight, i believe that the best future for long range nra style shooting is for tr and fclass to be united as equal members of the team. i have worked for this for years, at all levels from club on up. our own club does well at this, even having a handicap system that allo...

Re: nswra queens 2018

jase, smilies or no smilies, your point is a good one. remember the word "rentacrowd" as you work out just how much shooting alongside a queens event costs you. it is a bit like in the 1800s when black africans were expected to be christianized. but heaven forbid, if a black christian assu...

Re: nswra queens 2018

budget, why would i go to the queens when i cannot be in it? i have won what i thought was the fclass part of the queens three times, and felt part of a fantastic thing, only to find out that all i was was part of rent a crowd for tr. fcass shooters pay the same. technically speaking, the queens pri...

Re: nswra queens 2018

not sure how it is in nsw, but here's how it is in s.a. it has been decided by the powers that be that the sara queens is only for t.r. fclass is not in the queens. however there is a side match for fclass which said shooters are expected to get their rocks off about so much that they will attend wi...

Re: NECK SIZING

here is where i would put my money if you are not overloading. when you shoulder bump, brass has to go somehere. if the body of the case is not supported, the case body can expand as the shoulder pushes back. the tapered nature of the 6.5x55 will sow this faster than say a 308. to successfully shoul...

Re: NECK SIZING

fl sizing every shot is a good thing. it gives mechanical reliability to a shooting system which is the second most important thing in the chain behind safety, and the third being accuracy. the disadvantage is that brass can get worked too much, causing case head seperations, and slightly reduceing ...

Re: NECK SIZING

gyro,
call me a tightarse if you want.
it is easy in this day and age to become a gadget spender.
some seem to get off on this more than shooting.
of them some think that enough gadgets combined with high b.c. will do it all for you.

Re: NECK SIZING

scott,
you need the headspace set for your chamber.
you need a correctly bumped case to use the gauge anyway.
once the die is set then you are laughing.
spend the money on bullets and barrels and learn to read the wind better sooner.
so many things people buy that they don't need.
keep safe,
bruce.
