Re: A & D FX-300I advice

Hi Lonranger Thanks for your reply. Do you have a trickler you use for yours? I am thinking of getting either the Auto trickler by Adam Mcdonald or the Dandy Omega trickler. Both will be used in conjunction with a dispensed amount below the target weight and trickle up. Nothing that flash. I just u...

Using an FX 120i here. Excellent unit and a big step up from what you currently have.

Just out of curiosity, what sort of neck run out are you achieveing using Lee Collet dies?
Then after bullet seating, what is your projectile run out?
Cheers

Generally under 0.001" total indicated runout. That translates to 0.0005" actual. Rarely exceeds 0.002" T.I.R.

I use one of these:

Excellent quality but painful getting through Italian Customs, and no, I wasn't trying to smuggle it out of the country..

Re: Powder & Primers in the tropics.

Beware of those moisture absorbing tubs. Some can promote rust. Powder will be fine as it comes with the lid firmly tightened. Primers seem to last ok just in a dry cupboard in original packaging. I think cold wet climates are worse than Hervey Bay. I'd be more worried about salt air causing corros...

A bit like botanical names. Leichardt tree formerly Nauclea Orientalis now Sarcophyllus Coordinatus.

Re: RECOIL and THE BLOEMING CASE

Trev, I enquired about the Sierra 6.5mm 150gn MK a week ago. OSA reckon they'll have them Jan/Feb 2018. It could be bs but I'll wait and see. I am building a new F open rifle that will be set up for the new heavier 6.5 pills.

Re: 6.5 SLR

I'd say the new heavier 6.5mm projectiles will be competitive with 7mm class if range energy limits are in play. With the portability of the Labradar I suspect that checks may become more commonplace.

Re: Qld Labour intends to impose Ammo limits

If they do introduce ammo limits I wonder how that will impact reloaders? I guess labour politicians think it is a "feel good" legislation. They still haven't learnt that criminals just don't follow the law, they tend to be very stubborn in that respect... It will make no impact whatsoever...

What was the reamer used for that chamber and what freebore?
