Re: WTB Sako A1

Just for the record I was thinking of a 204 reamer run in to 222 case overall length, same as you did for the 223 case then fire forming to the new shape-NOT a 20- 222.
Might see you in Sydney Keith?

Re: WTB Sako A1

Hey Keith
At the risk of being persistent
I was thinking of the kiss system on 222 brass
Run the 204 reamer in to 222 length as you did for the 223
Maybe there will be nothing much between them I was wanting a 20 cal to run through a short sako A1 action?
Hope that explains it better

Re: WTB Sako A1

So you prefer the 223 brass to 222?

Re: WTB Sako A1

One I’m thinking of doing is smaller than a 204
Only 222 length
I have a sako 85 in 204 and it is a sweet bit of gear
Over 1000 rounds on it and it still shoots great

Re: WTB Sako A1

Hi Keith One thought I had was a 204 reamer run in to 222 case length, use quality Lapua cases and suit the action length? We discussed this on another forum and was told the rear of the chamber would need to be opened up a little bit to allow for the case to extract? Thinking was the shortened 204 ...

Re: WTB Sako A1

Hey Alwyn,
Any calibre will do, plan is to shoot it as is or rebarrel to a 20 cal of some sort.
I have stumbled onto a sako collector willing to part with one of his many :D

Re: NSW Queens

Looking forward to this shoot as it has been a while since I have attended.
Fingers crossed for good weather.
Just have to do some final tuning on my 6x47 and hopefully it will hammer with the old 115 Dtacs
Be good to see a 6mm win the queens :D
I'll most likely throw a big 7 in for back up.

Re: NRAA Elections for Director Positions - Nov 2nd

Hi Bob,
For anyone interested in becoming a director on the NRAA can you give an outline of what is involved and an approximate commitment in time per week?
Thanks

Re: The Future

PRS seems to be the growth area, we can include them as mentioned by providing baffles etc otherwise can the ranges be sub let to them to do their own thing?? Much like owning a rental property without having to live with your tenants- something of mutual benefit? Don't misread the above I do suppor...

Re: The Future

I'm a member of the Cessnock club and we often have a good turnout running 5 ETs there's a few blokes who fit into the tactical crowd who are most welcome and shoot for the fun of it, which is what we all should be doing! My thought is our ranges should be easily accessible to any shooter on a casua...
