I've been looking at this chambering for probably no good reason, however it dose interest me as a match rifle type cartridge for 1000yds + Unprimed brass from 1 supplier is $145 per 25 :shock: Could be an expensive exercise! I have a 7 twist 6mm barrel ready to be chambered in 6x47 just to see how the 110-115 projies go.

Hi All, I have been slowly exploring this topic. Has anyone experienced (good) consistency at long range with a sub 7mm? 6 and 6.5 are perceived as good short to mid range but the longs belong to 7mm and above???.... I remember a Canberra queens a few years back where a 6mm came 2nd and 1st? another...

Bore scope needed as the patches lie.
There was some talk about ultrasonic cleaning which might be the only non abrasive method to work?
