Re: Bullet Selection and Considerations (308)

Shouldn't the first question be "what discipline are you shooting? If you are shooting F-Standard you are restricted to 155gr projectiles If you are shooting F-TR you can shoot what ever weight you want. Just about no one is using 155's in FTR due to the fact there are heavier bullets with bett...

Re: Carbon cleaning methods curious after borescoping club barrels

I find if you just follow the Instructions to the letter on boretech products they work a treat removing all the target fouling. I’ve seen a lot of people use their own method and the results are poor, I thought eliminator was rubbish from others experience until I was forced to use it one time, fol...

Re: Seb PodPad

2 shooters, same rifle 4 details, 1 shooter is fairly new and only shot the rifle twice. All details shot off a pod pad with no plate under it, this is just the latest result from this weekend. Last weekend I smacked a 59.9 in at 600, same setup. You are all well over thinking it. I have tried plat...

Re: Seb PodPad

Yes, I sell joypod, when I can get them... just like a well Smithed gun, everything good takes time. As for a pod pad vs another plate/mat setup, there are a lot of factors we all need to take into consideration I guess and maybe saying “you are over thinking it” was actually the wrong thing, but my...

Can you breakdown the scores to give the results at 500 and 900, separately? Previous results would be interesting.

John, just go and have a look at a few different Queens results. At the very least you will
See the FS vs FTR misnomer I mentioned.

Re: MCSI, update needed

I tend to agree, top score in FTR can’t get the same MCSI score as a top FS.

Personally, and even statistically FS scores are on average higher than FTR.

They notion heavy bullets make it easier is negated by the bipod and light rifle.

Time for a re-look me thinks!!

Re: tell me about tuners for fclass

O-Rings are by far a better method of tuning than “tuners” trust our retired national treasure.

Re: tell me about tuners for fclass

My question re this topic would be does say Derek Rodgers use one ? I ask this because unless a "big league" shooter consistently uses and wins at a high level and recommends them, then until the proper science/testing comes out I shall remain sceptical. What an incredibly scientific appr...

Re: 6.5 Creedmore - anyone?

I have done a bucket load of research in recent months on 6.5 cartridges and was steered towards doing a tad more on the 6.5 Super LR, to me after all my reading it looks to be the goods on both barrel life (due to shoulder angle) and case capacity!! Downside is the need to form brass, but with a fe...

Good talking to you Pete!!

Always happy to help anyone, my contact details are not hard to find.

I am also happy to service the rests myself and carry a bunch of spares, a lot of people are not comfortable stopping them down.

Re: Shooting in Commonwealth Games

Is the TR comp shot on ET's , if so can it be accessed for live viewing? I'm told by an ex Com games shooter that ET's will never be used again for this competition after what happened in India with Et's. I may be wrong but info I have is they already have markers and Butts officers. Correct. Manua...
