Re: Lifting Restrictions on Brakes in F-Class

Lee, I did hear quite a bit about the Tasmanian saga, the one thing I would say is it wasn’t anything to do with the rules, it was a local range issue, I doubt any rule change would have saved those shooters and I think TRA should be disappointed that they could not come up with a workable solution.

Re: Lifting Restrictions on Brakes in F-Class

It would be interesting to see what the same shooters from SSAA $
& Hunters said when you popped them down behind an 8.25 or 10kg rifle.

The weight of F-Class rigs goes a long way to mitigating recoil.

Re: F-Tr Rig

I used to make my Own carbon fiber “truss” style bipods when i starred shooting F-Class, I tried pretty much all the name brand bipods looking for one that didn’t have an issue. I made several versions with different parts, my bug bear with most all of them was play in the threads for adjusting heig...

Re: F-Tr Rig

A gen 2 joypod is 584g which is already pretty light. The Dolphin AB Bipod is marginally lighter @ 475g https://www.hoptontrading.com.au/ab-bipod and probably the lightest solid bipod around. Most bipods use a triangular truss design due to the fact this design is inherently stronger than the canti...

Re: Beginners scope suggestions

The sightron Siii 10x50 is a great scope for the price, as I progressed through shooting and picked up nightforce sponsorship I shared shooting the NF 15-55 comp, but in all honesty, if that hasn’t happened I would still be using the sightron, they are that good. As far as seeing holes above a certa...

Re: Want to buy FTR bipod/info

I’ve never seen a manufacturer actively and continually bag out other manufacturers equipment to promote their own. Interesting marketing approach.

Re: Want to buy FTR bipod/info

540grams of bipod, holding up 70kgs of SEB. Not bad engineering design in my eyes. ’ Unless the purpose of the engineering in a JoyPod is to hold up a human, then the example means nothing. The discussion is about flex. No one has suggested that a JoyPod will break. JoyPods flex. JoyPods win matche...

Re: Want to buy FTR bipod/info

The design of the Auspod was to make a bipod super rigid as far too many bipods have lots of play. I started with a Joypod great design but when it is up high there is far too much play. Drawing back and pushing forward the crosshairs move wildly across the target, down lot it is a little better bu...

Re: Windreading Performance Comparison

The only question I would ask is..

“What do you hope to achieve by using a somewhat ambiguous methodology to say we are better than you at wind reading”?

Regardless of the other items such as “machine gunning” that have raised their heads in this discussion, what is it you hope to achieve?
